Default Quick question for those with knowledge of the law.

If a 12-year old child was almost killed by inhaling the exhaust fumes of a car, which caused a fatal case of his asthma attack, and then the perp was caught later, what would be his charges?

Assault? Attempted murder? Endangering the welfare of a child? etc.?

Intentional attack; offender was completely aware of his action. Offender obtained knowledge through his child, who had one day looked through the medical records of victim sometime during school.

Offender was caught three hours later after car's license plate was recognized + multiple witnesses seeing the offender leave the car at a different place.

(this is theoretical and not to be taken as if non-fictional)
