PS2 game recommendations

So, I'm gonna get myself a PS2 soon (better late than never, I guess), and am looking for good games to play. Kingdom Hearts 1 and 2, and Okami are the games that made me want to get this console in the first place, so definitely gonna get these. I'll most likely get Persona 3 and 4 as well. So as you can probably tell, I like jRPGs, I also have a thing for platformers. And hack n slash > turn-based combat in my book, but I'll play turn-based games as long as the story is good.

But all in all, any recommendations are welcome. That's my first experience with a non-handheld console 8U

My personal recommendations are the Prince of Persia series for PS2.

The Disgaea series is something I'd recommend to everyone.

Ratchet and Clank series if you're into explosions and a little comedy.

I have to personally highly recommend the Mana Khemia series...and although you've mentioned it already, Persona 3 and 4.

DragonQuest 8, Final Fantasy X, Tales of the Abyss, Sakura Wars ~So Long My Love~

Trust me, there's many good JRPG's in abundance...I support the Ratchet and Clank series too.

You can also get some ps1 games if you want. I think ps1 has a wider library of jrpgs. Suikoden 2, Parasite Eve, Legend of Mana, Chrono Cross, etc.

For hack and slash, I recommend Zone of the Enders 2. You can get Zone of the Enders if you want, but the 2nd blows it out of the water.

For Beat em up, get Viewtiful Joe.

Metal Gear Solid 1, 2, 3 is nice.

Get Ico and Shadow of the Colossus.

And try out Ace Combat 4, 5, 0 whenever you get the chance.

If you ever want to dabble in horror, try out Silent Hill 1, 2, 3. I haven't played 3 yet unfortunately , but 2 will make you sad.

Katamari Damacy is good, quirky, and fun. Beyond Good and Evil is underrated and good.

If you wanna try out some fighting games, I heard Capcom vs SNK 2 is good.

in all honesty, i completely forgot about the, 6 was it? anyways the first set seemed boring to me. never bothered, the 2nd series was fun though.

disliked having to watch the anime to understand certain parts in the story.

.hack//Infection through Quarantine were good.

The GU or whatever ones were made to placate the weeaboo audience. The GU series was made for weeaboos. Skip it.

Xenosaga: Der Wille Zur Macht, Jenseits von Gut und Bose, and Also sprach Zarathustra is great too if you're looking for an epic (in the dictionary definition version of epic, not the internet definition) story, depth, developed characters and religious undertones, combined with a LOT of cutscenes. (And I mean a lot.)

I dunno. Haseo's character development sure got my attention, growing from a really unlikable, brash, ans sarcastic character into a more sensible, mature, and refined individual. Don't skip it.

Both .hack//Infection~Quarantine and G.U. game series are worth looking into.

-Tekken series (2~5, and Tag. Never played Tekken 6, but that's PS3 anyways)
-Burnout series (Most fast-paced and fun racing game EVER)
