The player assumes the role of an unnamed protagonist attending Dengeki Academy who stumbles into a fight between heroines from Dengeki Bunko novel worlds and the evil organization Zetsumu. The reality-based world of Dengeki Academy and the novel worlds have become connected and the player is able to help the Dengeki Bunko heroines fight the Zetsumu by going between the worlds. Eight heroines are presented including Shana from Shakugan no Shana, Kino from Kino's Journey, and Kana Iriya from Iriya no Sora, UFO no Natsu. Each heroine fights with her own unique style of weapon, combos, and special attacks. The protagonist is designed by Kouhaku Kuroboshi, and his childhood friend Kizuna Kasugai is designed by Noizi Ito.
I love crossovers. And just like Kingdom Hearts, this is equally as awesome. The premise is that some evil organization is screwing around with (Dengeki's) world characters and somehow, are now connected to the "real" world. Your job is to assist the heroines and restore the story back to its rightful plot.
Disturbing images aside, the protagonist instantly gets thrown into Kana (Iriya no Sora, UFO no Natsu)'s world together with Shana. It's the pool scene, and someone has decided to drain all the water, causing Naoyuki unable to teach Kana to swim (I think?). Shana and the protagonist must restore the water to the pool and run into some bad guys in suits along the way (bad guys must always wear suits)...
The battle system is similar to Tales's, except you control one (+2) characters, and support characters. Attack is A, Defend is B, Special is Y, and Switch Character is X. To chain combos, you have to switch characters midway through attacks.
You can also get Support Characters... but I haven't gotten any yet (Index, Haruka, etc.) So yeah. Support Characters are able to equip cards that, via the touchscreen, cause a myriad of effects on the battle (ie. Scan, Heal, Summon, etc.)
Just started, and addicted already :>
