Should get good at chapter 4 or 5, I don't remember which D=.

Didn't like Nikki either, and didn't like Muppy as well =/.

Wait till you see Jess's magical bag =D.

I've played Mana Khemia for the ps2, and I've enjoyed it.

I loved the battle system, it's a bit different from most other rpg's I've played, although it isn't too different from the Atelier Iris series. And the battles were a bit too easy for the most part. The story is also pretty good. I think I'm on the last chapter, but I'm too lazy to actually finish it =(

Favorite Character is Vayne <3

Playing it, addicted to it.

My setup - Vayne's in the back purely for Variable Strike, lulz.

Hmm my setup followed

Vanguard - Vayne, Anna, Roxis
Support - Jess, Pamela, Muppy

Muppy by far has the best support IMO out of everyone, along with Pamela's, and Muppy's revenge cannon made me lol real hard on the extra last boss when Roxis got beat down by his Special Attack.
Muppy's face is insane =o
Nikki I just found annoying gathering all the hearts for her skills.

Anyways, I'm hoping that Mana Khemia 2 Makes A US Release =x

I always keep Vayne in the back for variable strike too, except I switch him to the front for boss battles so I can quickly analyze them.

I haven't tried Nikki or Muppy's supports (Because I don't use em...XD), but I think Jess has the best offense AND defensive support. The offense is a large ranged multi-hit attack, the defense heals the whole party after the enemy attack.

Muppy's Defensive is much better IMO =x
He Hides everyone and then gets hit by the attack once, and the damage is reduced to about... 1/5th ish maybe? Dunno don't remember entirely.
It's very handy on those pesky all hitting attacks that do so much damage <_<
His offensive is alright, it just hits about 7 times? along with Delaying the target.

Nikki's weren't too good IMO though, It was kinda just like Vayne/Flays if I remember right =x

Did you guys ever play all of the Atelier Iris Series?

I've played (and beaten) all 3 of the AI series, but i'm wondering if Mana Khemia is good?
From what I've played, IMO, the AI series are getting worse and worse...

I think AI 1 was the best by far, combining unique strategies for battles and even in the world map, using the spirits to find hidden areas and such.
AI 2 was arlight, since it kind of showed more depth into the storyline of the AI series, though it didn't really show much of Iris' history... Also, the battles were FAR too easy. And not much thinking required on the stages either...
AI 3 would be, i guess better than AI 2, since it made the battles a lot "interesting." Also with the new stage system, it gave the AI series of kind of a twist. But, the battles were still on the "easy" side, and the storyline was too predictable... Kind of on the short side also. And the limited 3 characters bothered me.

pretty much, AI > AI3 = AI2

I'm considering buying MK...

What would guys rank it if you played the AI series?

Well, I only played AI3, But I loved it, never got the chance to play the first 2
But if you did like AI3, I'm pretty sure you would end up liking MK.
Theres more then 3 characters, so that part wont bother you, The game is pretty easy, Until the extra dungeon, that is probably one of the hardest dungeons in any game, Ever. So if your looking for difficulty, there it is, Also all the bosses in there but 1 are Cameo battle from AI3, No scenes though, Fight just starts, So yeah, I also loved the Cameo's

Anyways, I would highly recommend this.

And if you wanna know who they are, the order goes
Spoiler!

EDIT: Very quick, Also I love the music >_>

Ooh awesome!!

Aha, beating old bosses in a different game are always fun

Exactly how long is the game though?
And the quests? (mainly synthesizing stuff?)

I think when I finished the game I had about 30-40 hours of time on it, somewhere around there.
I'd say about half the quests are item making and the other half are combat.
And yes, boss killing is fun all the time, but if your gonna get past them in this, your gonna need to like, be super stats etc >_>
Also, whats different is that you half to make items to gain stats, no exp anymore.

Can't really think of anything else more to add =x

ah, well the levels really didn't matter much in the AI series ahaha...
It was always more equipment based...

which kind of makes it fun, since you need to synthesize more items.

Just wondering but... If ya don't do the 'jobs' and you get certain rewards like 'How to make _____" reward. Can you not get it anymore? o_o

Skipped like... a few jobs back a few chapters ago and personally... I like to try to get everything that is possible.. Rather not restart because it gets quite annoying with all the LQ dialogue scenes

From what I can tell looking at job list rewards, if you didn't get it from the job/monster, you can buy it off the shops.

Yeah, you can buy what you missed from shops, just visit every single one, and remember there is one in the resource center dungeon if your missing any.
And I do wish this game had a skip scene feature =x
Anyways, I always had more fun doing all the quests though instead of just buying the items, Especially since i always ended up broke anyways in the game >_>

Lately I found myself avoiding most of the monsters and just hurrying along to the bosses, lol...

I did that in the 2nd half of the game, though I had to do gathering that included killing any monsters I find. Towards the end, you don't have as many things to craft for your growth book, so not much AP needed, which results in less battles needed. Just rush to the boss and burst and finish them for +300% AP or something and you're generally good for that chapter.

Monster battles get annoying too, and you just wanna advance the story D=.

Hey, the monster evading is good practice for the extra dungeon.
>_>
