The factor of allowing the players to have control of chat blocking and KoS (Kill on Sight) enabling makes Rising Force always interesting. The game has three different races, from which you select one when creating a new character. Each race has multiple classes, all basically the same but with distinguishable skills.
Accretians are "metal heads/rust buckets" to the other races, because they are machines, they have no magic class, and their armor and weapons give them a little better stats. They are the tallest class (in reference to height) and their racial benefit is the ability for their ranger class to equip a "Launcher" (that is, a rocket launcher++) They are rooted to the ground but can deal massive damage (RUN IF YOU SEE ONE SET UP THEIR LAUNCHER)
Bellatos are "midgets/shorties" to the other races, they are the shortest race (reference to height) they are a race that developed their race with magic and technology. Their racial benefit allows their Specialist class to develop into an Armor Rider that can ride the feared MAU (the Mobilized Armored Unit). This mobilized behemoth is deployed by the Bellato and comes in melee and ranged variations, like the Launcher, flee from the MAU ASAP.
Cora are "elves" to the other races , they are a race that sought out the power of magic and nature. They are a stronger magic based class than the Bellatos. Their racial benefit allows the Spiritualist Grazier and the Specialist to summon 4 different types of Animus to help them attack and defend, these summons have their own simple AI. As it is their racial benefit, fear these Cora clases.
With three races, there's a lot of tension in the world; every 8 hours (yes, three times a day
) there is the three-way battle for control of beneficial buffs to the entire race that wins. This Race vs Race vs Race(RvRvR) is called the Chip War, where each race tries to be the one to destroy one of the other race's control chip (abbreviated as CC and a prefix letter based on Race is added in front (i.e., bellato's control chip is BCC, cora's is CCC) The race to destroy a chip gets increased attack for the following hours, the neutral race gets nothing
but losses nothing
and the destroyed chip's race gets decreased def for the following hours.
GvG in RFO is not just simple seek and destroy, it is played out more like a sports game. Each guild starts on their side of the field and must pick up the Gravity Stone. The player who picks up the Gravity Stone must run it through to the opposite guilds Goal Marker. Strategy is needed between the guilds to set up a line of runners, offensive, and defensive players. Provided below I have taken a five-minute video through xfire.
Sorry but I had to take the video in half-screen resolution, so don't try to view it in full screen; my next video of GvG will be full screen resolution!
I'll post my IGN and server, or edit this post if no one else replies to this yet
when my friend and I start our new characters ^^
//YAY I still have power after typing all this
