Early reports from Famitsu state that Final Fantasy X-2 HD Remaster, one part of the Final Fantasy X|X-2 HD Remaster, will have a voice drama. You donít need to clear the game to hear it either, which may make it different from the 30 minute long drama that plays during the credits.
This added story takes place one year after the events of Final Fantasy X-2 and it will have new characters. Square Enix also made illustrations to go along with the story and confirmed the Vita version (which is a separate game) and Final Fantasy X|X-2 HD Remaster for PS3 will have the drama.
As previously detailed, Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD Remaster will include a brand new 30-minute audio drama, penned by the game’s writer, Kazushige Nojima. Now, you can listen to a short preview of this drama in English.
Some brand new screen shots of the Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD Remaster have been released and finally Square Enix is showing some more love for X-2.
As you can see below, there are some HD renders of the 3 gals as 3 different job classes (Trainer, Alchemist, and Gun Mage) along with a couple images of some FMVs and Cutscenes. Along with those, there's a bunch of new shots from Final Fantasy X featuring quite a lot of the party members.
Although no release date has been specified for North America and Europe, at least we know for sure the Japanese fans can get their hands on the Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD Remaster on 26th December for the PS3 or PS Vita. Be sure to check out the screens below:
Unfortunately for fans in the west, Square Enix has announced that the highly anticipated Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD Remaster will release in the spring; nearly 3 months later than the Japanese version.
For the PS3 version, North America will get the game on the 18th March 2014 and Europe will have to wait until the 21st March 2014. There isn’t any information on when the PlayStation Vita version of the game will release in the west.
Currently there are a few editions going round like the limited edition that includes an art book and the digital download version. Also, if you can’t wait long enough, there’s a PS Vita hardware bundle available on Play Asia which features a lovely image of Tidus and Yuna in ‘The Spring’.
There’s also a new extended trailer featuring more scenes and remastered English voice dubbing. Although the graphics look a lot cleaner, the mouth movements don’t seem to have the same effect as the original cutscenes. Hopefully this will be fixed once the game is released in March.
