YOSH! A strange new image has been uncovered! Bandai has a japanese dice and domino game that shares the branding of J-Stars Victory Versus! The game allows players to have “decks” of domino’s that have some of the most popular J-Stars! If you notice, out of the 18 characters in the image, 10 have already been confirmed to be in J-Stars Victory Versus! Could this be a major hint as towards who will fill up the roster for J-Stars Victory Versus, coming to PS3 and PS Vita later in the Fiscal year? Below is the image, with a list that has the name of each character, and their respectful anime/manga.
Toriko – Toriko
Monkey D. Luffy – One Piece
Naruto Uzumaki – Naruto Shippuden
Son Goku – Dragon Ball Z
Gon Freecss – Hunter X Hunter
Kankichi Ryotsu – Kochikame
Ichigo Kurosaki – BLEACH

A brand new J-Stars Victory VS scan has been released! It confirms Sasuke Uchiha from Naruto Shippuden, Vegeta from Dragon Ball Z, and Zebra from Toriko as playable characters! This confirms the game will have more than one character per series, at least when it comes to Naruto Shippuden, Dragon Ball Z, and Toriko. The three join Naruto, Goku, and Toriko from their respective series along with Ichigo Kurosaki (Bleach), Monkey D. Luffy (One Piece), Gon Freeccss (Hunter X Hunter), Gintoki Sakata (Gintama), Kankichi Ryotsu (KochiKame), Kenshin (Rurouni Kenshin), and Yusuke Urameshi (YuYu Hakusho). Speaking of Yusuke, he is shown in his demon form towards the bottom left of the scan! And we almost forgot to say – in the bottom right screenshot, it looks like Kurama Mode Naruto is in too! It might just be Tailed Beast Chakra Mode, but to us it looks like Naruto is dawning the coat he wears in Kurama Mode!
Two new scans of J-Stars Victory VS have been released! These are scans 17 and 18 in the series and they show a few new screenshots. Well, scan 18 shows nothing new, but scan 17 is full of new screenshots! This includes a clear view of Kurama Mode Naruto, who we saw in a past scan, but not with such vivid conviction! In one of the screenshots, under Kurama Mode Naruto, it also looks like the Chunin Exam Stadiums from Naruto are going to be a stage, however, we can’t say that for sure. Again, it just looks like it from the angle that is visible.
The other screenshots within the scan highlight the recently confirmed Jaguar Junichi (Pyu to Fuku! Jaguar) and Taro Yamada (Chinyūki Taro to Yukaina Nakama-tachi). Luffy (One Piece), Toriko (Toriko), Goku (Dragon Ball Z), and Ichigo (Bleach) can also be seen.
This game's roster is based on popularity polls not anniversary/series length, and Medaka Box isn't the most popular of mangas TBH... though if a character from the series did get in I would prefer it if they put in Kumagawa instead (he actually has a higher chance too since he ranks 1st in Medaka Box's popularity poll).
The first female characters is confirmed in J-Stars Victory VS! She is Medaka Kurokami, the heroine from the anime/manga series Medaka Box! Along with her, Misogi Kumagawa, who is also Medaka Box is confirmed. The news comes from the latest issue of Shonen Jump, which also reveals Medaka’s pink-haired transformation, God of War Mode!
From the 52nd issue of Shonen Jump comes a brand new scan of J-Stars Victory VS! It confirms Tetsuya Kuroko from Kuroko’s Basketball as well as Yusuke Fujisaki, Hime Onizuka, and Kazuyoshi Usui from Sket Dance. All four will be support characters.
Kuroko leverages his basketball skills to attack. The Sket Dance team works together with Kazuyoshi analyzing the situation on his computer, followed by either Hime coming at the opponents with a hockey stick or Yusuke launching a slingshot attack.
Allen's model looks really good, dat uniform hnnghh. Too bad he's support only.
I don't know anything about Seiya, but his series seems to be pretty popular and well deserving of a playable position. (I'm just glad that the game box art isn't the final roster for represented series, since Seiya isn't on the box art).
At the bottom left of the scan it says "next reveals 21st Jan", people say the silhouette is someone called Hisoka, who I'm not very familiar with.
