Any Dead Space fans out there? I know there has to be at least one more. I didn't see a thread on this, so I figured I'd make one. If there is, then just merge I guess.

I for one really can't wait to play Co-op with a friend of mine. It's going to be hilarious. Also can't wait to see the enviorments Issac and John are thrown in!

I was planning to do a Live Stream event for the PC with one of my friends when the game comes, While my plays Isaac and I'll be playing John.

That sounds great! I'd like to watch that. I like watching people play horror games, it always ends up with a good laugh.

My friend and I were actually considering making a gaming channel on Youtube, starting with this game of course. I'm sort of a b**ch when it comes to this sort of stuff and he's unfazed by it.

Laughs will be had!

i cant wait for this game to be released xD i have and love all the games in the series so far^^

mikecxz 01-11-2013 09:27 PM

i have both and finished the first and loved it, but i haven't had the time to finish the second yet unfortunately.

I have low expectations. They already stated they wanted to "appeal to a wider audience" and will reduce the scare factor. Co-op also completely kills horror as well.

None of this bodes well.

I agree with you there, but again we'll have to find out til the game comes out.

Kotarou 01-13-2013 05:12 AM

I'll be another one of the players on the bandwagon '-'/

I wonder if there's friendly fire on.

Saibak 01-16-2013 06:52 AM

Due to the "appeal to a wider audience" I expect something like 'Call of Dead Space - Black Ops Duty 3' with more "kaboom", killstreaks, super easy quicktime events and even more boring mainstream action.

OK, in seriousness: I keep my expectations low. From what I have seen from the videos so far, DS3 focuses way too much on action, is too bright and is probably as 'scary' as Resident Evil 5 and 6 combined. Sure, some boss fights look cool, but I didnīt like Dead Space because of the huge monsters; it was the awesome atmosphere.

LauraMix 01-16-2013 09:35 AM

The iconic death scene came back.

Zero 01-18-2013 01:52 PM

The demo was pretty awesome I have to say. I like that they upped the ante on the action of it. I know the whole game more than likely won't be like that, but it was still very awesome.

Can't wait for February 5th ;_;

NiBo 01-19-2013 03:37 PM

I watched a demo gameplay and it looks great~ but I guess I would only watch, instead of playing.

CountBlood 01-19-2013 05:52 PM

So anyone picking this up on the 360 willing to do co-op with me? I have classes so I may not be able to dedicate a lot of time to the game, but it'd be nice to casually play through it with someone!

Live action of Dead Space.

I felt it.

EA proudly presents

  • Bot Capacity Upgrade $4.99
  • Bot Personality Pack $4.99
  • First Contact Pack Free
  • Marauder Pack $4.99
  • Sharpshooter Pack $4.99
  • Tundra Recon Pack $4.99
  • Witness the Truth Pack $4.99
  • Bot Accelerator $4.99
  • Epic Weapon & Resource Pack $2.99
  • Online Pass $9.99
  • Ultra Weapon & Resource Pack $1.99
  • Resource Pack $0.99
------------------------------------------------------
$50.89

WOW! Just ... wow. If someone purchases Dead Space 3 including all DLCs, that makes a whopping $100.

Sure, EA, I buy all of that. Just let me go to my money printer over there on my desk for a few moments.
But where is the DLC for additional savegame slots? Or the DLC for a bot, which plays the entire game for me, so I can just sit back and enjoy? Or a DLC, which brings me to the credits screen immediatelly, so I donīt have to play all that crap before that?

Pro-tip: All DLCs should expire after 30 days, so we have to buy all of that again. Moar moneyz 4 yu, EA. Smart, eh? :py48:

Kotarou 02-03-2013 05:58 AM

>online pass

What, seriously, EA?

I'm not surprised, there was already hints of this.

Good series turned into generic hollywood action-packed explosionsfest shooter, with DLC spam. Happens all the time now unfortunately.

We want a wider audience

>“Overall, we want to try and grow the business in the action category… EA doesn’t really have a very strong stake there; survival-horror kind of lives in that genre.”

5 million copies or we won't make a sequel
http://www.cinemablend.com/games/EA-...ive-43629.html
>"In general we're thinking about how we make this a more broadly appealing franchise, because ultimately you need to get to audience sizes of around five million to really continue to invest in an IP like Dead Space. Anything less than that and it becomes quite difficult financially given how expensive it is to make games and market them."

Pay-to-win single player to attract mobile "gamers"

>"People who are 10 or 15 years younger than you or I are actually mobile first: they play mostly on iOS or Android and don’t necessarily play a whole lot of console games. The concept of instant gratification, having only 15 minutes to play, but wanting to still be able to succeed."

PC gamers need to check their M+KB privilege
http://www.pcgamer.com/2013/01/30/de...-straight-port
>“At our studio, we’ve always made console games. The biggest thing is we want to make sure the quality of the experience is consistent across all platforms so we don’t have one userbase saying it’s better on their system. The fact that we’re allowing you to control the game with a mouse and keyboard immediately makes the game feel different”
I think the only thing that actually miffed me was the fact that these devs think it's ok to make every version of the game identical. Yeah, I guess that's why official emulated games or remakes are exactly the same as when they released, right? Oh, wait...

poringslasher 02-06-2013 11:32 PM

i love dead space :D

the eerie environments, the scarce ammo, creepy aliens makes the game more intense.
best part of the game for me is throwing limbs and killing others with it :D
