I just started this game after seeing the first post of this guide on Facebook. So, I have a bunch of novice questions, if you all don't mind me asking:
-I picked the Fire starter and my Rare egg turned out to be the second evolution of the Darkness Magic Swordsman; how should I proceed to mold my team?

-Whats the advantage of having a team consisting solely of one attribute? Won't matching up all 4 other elements (discounting heals) go to waste?

-When will my team begin to diversify, and how? So far I've gotten to the Tower of Ordeal, and I've only encountered carbuncles, evo material, and goblins thus far. Well, and the boss monsters, who apparently are obtainable. When can I start farming for all those powerful monsters, such as the aforementioned "Siren" and vampires?

-How do I get all these powerful God monsters, like Loki, that everyone seems to have? I spent my first 5 Jewels and only obtained a grass toy dragon, I don't exactly see how to get Gods from the Rare Gatcha, as they seem to be, well, extremely rare, and I don't see myself using it more then 1-2 more times in the near future.

-Currently stuck at the Tower of Ordeals. I'm just leveling my monsters slowly, is there anything more to do? I can't see how I could get any new monsters, asides from the occasional Pal Gatcha, and it takes forever just to glean one level for one monster. Is this how the game's always like, or will it pick up momentum once I advance farther?

Thanks in advance for the help; this thread was the only real discussion I could find for this app in English. Besides my woes, I'm really enjoying this game, especially how Stamina limits its own addictive qualities, the great way Gungho integrated multiplayer into the game, and that fun Pokemon feeling.

Let's put it this way. Say all the monsters you have are at 500 damage each. Now say you have both leaders that magnify dark damage by 4x.

If it is a mono-color team, clearing just a row of 3 dark gems will net you 2000*6 = 12000 damage.

Now, if you are a multicolor team with 2 dark leaders and mates of say light, water, fire and grass, clearing a dark gem will only net you 4000 damage. If you clear gems of other colors, you'll only get 500 damage for each 3 gem elimination. You can see the latter clearly lacks in damage.

Then you ask, "what if I get multiple combos"?

Combos increase the damage of your attack by a certain fixed increment, and it applies to all elemental damage as long as you've eliminated gems of that element. So that means a mono-color team will still get much more damage than multi-color team if you do the same combo. You should be aiming to clear as many gems as you can even if they are not in your team anyway.

When you can clear the said dungeon, you can start farming for them if you want to.

They restart multiple times to grind for a good start, like what I had stated at the guides.

Everyone starts off like that. Grind for metal dragons, camp for metal dragons dungeons, or feed efficiently.

Thanks for the reply! I understand how much of a boost starting out with an amazing monster can have, but I did the tutorial 11 times and didn't get anything special. The task at hand is just so monotonous; how can anyone do it so many times as to even the ridiculously low odds of obtaining anything worthwhile, let alone a single monster, like Loki? Such dedication would probably requires hours of simply repeating the tutorial quest-a task requiring dedication far beyond me. Didn't your main start off with a shitty rare monster too and end up "relatively" decent?

This thread is extremely informative. Better than most of the other guides available. I've spent a day reading this thread and playing the game. Mine's the US version.

I started with a Siren after multiple retries. However the game's still difficult since I don't intend to buy any iAP. I'm stuck at Fire Forest Nerva and even with a strong helper that boosts my HP to 5k, I can barely survive. After 30 minutes or so, running out of Heart Orbs, I lost. My Siren only has RCV about 300+ after matching 3 orbs.

What is the best way to make the game more enjoyable? The game seems pretty impossible without donating.

I can attach a screenshot of my team if you need.

Desperate for advice. Btw, I have 4 Gems at the moment, but I can't get the last gem to roll another Rare Machine. Siren's at level 17, I'm Rank 21.

Btw, are any of the boss monsters obtainable up until Fire Forest Nerva? I am stuck and things are just pretty mundane.

Urm, I started with Echidna's second form, something that I'll not do now if I am to start another account with my current knowledge of the game. You can see where I am now from the screenshots I've posted a while back at page 6. I think I am doing pretty well, with 4 gods now and a whole ton of options for different teams such as 6.25x dragons or 4x dark ready. 4x fire should be an option soon once I start to grind my fire swordsman.

Let's just say that getting stuck at dungeons is part and parcel of the game. I spent a whole month, maybe even more at Castle of Satan without clearing past the final stage (the one with Vampire Lord). All I did was to beef up my team, clear event dungeons and gather monsters slowly. When I revisited it one month later, I breezed past the stage with my 6.25x dragon team.

I spent not a single cent on the game, but I think Gungho Japan is much more generous with their events. Not sure about USA.

And yes, if you want better advise, it's better to post screenshots so I know which monsters you have. I don't play US and I've no idea what you guys are talking about sometimes.

For players playing the Japanese versions, Vampire Lord's special dungeon should be up for the whole day tomorrow. Remember that there are no light gems there, so plan your team accordingly.

Starter. Unless you are planning to use Neptune as a water resist.

You need 200 friendship points per roll.

Use friend's leader with the 10ポイント for 10 points, random leaders for 5. Same applies when players use yours.

Sorry, this is a larger version of my Monsters. No matter how hard I try, I can't pass the Fire Forest Nerva dungeon even with strong helpers.

That's all you've got? My god, it looks worse than I thought.

Urm, concentrate on Fire. Get a Titan, get a Naga. Try to get a fire resist dragon if you can and raise it up till second stage at least. Train your light MKII as a temporary placehholder. Ignore the dark swordsman because it is shit. And raise the overall level of your team. It looks quite horribly under-leveled.

You should aim to get your team to something like this:

Team Leader: Fire Starter - as high as you can
Naga/Echidna - as high as you can
Titan - max leveled
Fire Resist - as high as you can
Mermaid
Ally: Fire Starter

Replace the fire resist with a high leveled evolved orge or something if you can't get your fire resist.

Once you clear the fire stage, do nothing but to raise the over level of your team further by evolving them with masks and etc.
