It reminds me of Smash Bros. which has likely been already mentioned. I wonder what the well do differently. I know a good number of people who have always wanted Sony to do their own take on this.

I hope this game is balanced properly.

Cuz apparently, instead of knocking your opponents off the map, you have use super-attacks to OHKO and score a kill. Players hit enemy to build-up their super-attack gauge.

And just like brawl, some super-attacks will only work close range whilst others work ranged etc.

I predict a character with lots of range and/or speed that'll unbalance it.

I can't wait for them to only include the recent mainstream Sony characters. The only non-new mainstream one they've included so far seems to be Parappa, and...kind of Sweet Tooth? Ideally the third-party characters would be from those that debuted or had a large influence with Playstation, but isn't owned by Sony (anymore).

Kinda doubt it, and that's what I don't like.
Sony doesn't have many memorable and iconic first-party characters unlike Nintendo, which is why I'm not very interested in this game.

If they were allowed to use these characters for their commercial, hopefully that means that said characters have a chance in appearing in this?

Smash bros gameplay confirmed
60 FPS confirmed (nerds)
multiplayer with options
3rd party characters are in
3 layers of super for each character, the Bars represent your "Super meter"
Mash Up Stages featuring elements from multiple fanchies, like God of War/ Patapon, Ratchet and Clank/ with God of War elements.
The aura glow around the characters signifies that your Super meter is full. It is not always present.
You can use D-pad or Analog to move around
