Lucky for me, there's a family-owned farm just an hour and a half from where I live that actually grows these things and sells 'em locally at pretty cheap prices. I'll be eating these for as long as I live. 8D

I personally find it delicious. While others find it hard not to puke while near it. Imo, good people like it, bad people hate it. Just a superstition though lol.

Cross between Plum and Apricot? Both are ranked high on my good fruits list. I've never heard of it or even seen one before, but now I want to eat one D=.

Durians are bloody nasty for me.

When I open a durian I just want to shove my face into it. Same with jackfruit.

But the smell of ketchup makes me sick :D .

Those Plouts seem like they'd make wonderful preserves or cobbler.

Also, I've had Durian before. Never liked it. Jackfruit is tasty, though.

Dragon fruit FTW. There's so many of them at the local Vietnamese market right now.

Also, kuyaBaka, have you ever tried White peaches? They've got a much milder and less sweet taste than yellow ones, and the texture is firmer. I personally prefer them to yellow peaches.

We should rename this thread to obscure fruits, lol.

Dragonfruit is good. Seeds aren't digestible though, (You can still eat them though, edible like watermelon seeds, but not digestible.) so uh...well...you can see for yourself when you go to the washroom after eating Dragonfruit, lol.

Well, while not as obscure in asia, i still think everyone needs to try rambutan.

I looove that stuff I've eaten it since I was like 2. I'm the only one in my family aside from my Dad who likes it though. I can see why people find it to be disgusting, it tastes very rich.

Yes. This white thing is what you eat. The seed in the middle of that is big and inedible, btw.

i like the dinosaur egg pluot. i just didn't know it was called a pluot. i thought it was a dinosaur egg plum. but then it was in the wiki as a pluot

this thread has too many diff discussions going on. and technically some of the fruit aren't obscure depending on where you're from right?

i prefer jackfruit out of the diff fruits just mentioned

Those pluots are called prunes here looks the same to me.
It is quite nice but can be really really sour if you're unlucky.

Fruits just have confusing name.
