I ate a rice dish at a Latin-American/Chinese fusion restaurant called Sabrosura, which is in the Bronx. One of the best dishes they have there is Chofan Nuevo Latino, which is fried rice with chicken and shrimp sprinkled with chicarrones throughout the rice. I always thought of it as a Spanish version of crispy bacon bits. They're like missiles of savory goodness
