Can I have some help navigating the new stage selection system?

[Endgame]

All I can figure out is how to actually select different stages, what I assume is starting a party, and how to actually start the stage. I cannot figure out how to actually find other parties, or how to change the difficulty. (1 Stars, 2 Stars, etc.) I clicked on an arrow that changes the reccomended levels, but after completing the stage, it still shows only 1 Star completed.

Can anyone help me out here?

By the way, does Elsword have magic/special based attacks before promotion into Magic Knight? I came across a magic defense enemy playing as him, but it didn't take reduced damage from Z or X attacks.

Magic-based? Maybe his right skill path? The best one, IMO (and most koreans')

It was pretty confusing at first, but I've figured it all out now.
