why does every one say skip maxing this skill? i want to be a pure healer in myth

Because having RB PoS heals you for a lot. Because having heals such as Light of Healing and Sunlight of Healing also heal you for a lot and there's only so much healing one person needs unless they suck horribly.

self heal is sooooooooooo slowwwwwwwwwwwwwwww
this game is made in a way that you don't need a pure healer. self heal is a selfish heal, while pure healers are supposed to be full support for their party:
1) you're only healing yourself with that long delay, instead of healing your party members
2) when you heal yourself with that long delay, you slow down the party by not attacking and/or pushing during that delay
3) when you spend 7 extra skill points on self heal, you're not able to add those into a skill that will help out the party
