Default Max chain or fog?

I don't know which one to max

Cd: chain 20 fog 25
dmg {at max}: 140x8 345x3
sp: 12 vs 11

it looks like chain is more worth

but... chain is a close range attack while fog is from distance and this is an important thing >_<

I would max fog {or lvl 9}

edit: oh yea also, you can't move while using chain making you vulnerable to any attack, while you can heal, use more skills with fog

You should also take into consideration if you are purely going to 1v1 because fog is more useful in team matches

You can dash in the opposite direction to what your facing to cancel it.

I have both and I use chain a lot more in both 1v1s and team fights. If you can, I'd still get both though, fog is really useful.

1 chain for comboes/maxed chain for bind + chain

9 fog for slow down +2k damage/1 fog for minor slow down

If your going for fog slow, level 5 is the best.

I didn't read the titile, so usually in myth you won't cancel unless you need to heal and dodge, in pvp it's different since you will mostly cancel to keep the combo going =)

cancel> no more attacking > making it useless. So if you know that you are going to cancel it often I would take fog

Chain is actually incredibly hard to land.....Fog takes about 2.5 seconds to cast, leaving you vulnerable to any attack. Skills can be used depending on the player.

Also, you need quite a bit of height for chain to connect into an air combo or a skill to sustain them in the air. (bind/HS)

Moonchain = Use when people like to dash instead of waking up, randomly used when your dashing around your opponent, moonbind, sleep, and you shouldn't have trouble at all airing it at the wall.

Moonfog - 1.2 seconds to cast, and you can skill cancel it so...

I have never been caught with chain while knocked down....and I mean NEVERRRR. Who have you been playing..?

Um, you're not going to be always at a wall. The fact that this skill has to be comboed at a wall just gives it one more disadvantage. There's not much point if you have to wait for bind or sleep to use chain.... its basically putting in 10 sp ( I think its 10?) just so you can connect it with 2 skills(sleep/bind)... I don't think its worth it but hey, everyone's playing styles are different.

But think about the damage output advantage if you do do Sleep bind Chain. Look at Seraphic's Max Chain, its pretty much 100-200 per hit. if your at a wall, multiply that by 8 and you get pretty much 1.6k free hit, add a dodge at the end and you pretty much have a 1/4 life gone.

I actually beat seraph in the tourney match hosted by Lunar.

I didn't have chain and had maxed fog + tears. A sleep bind with maxed fog and tears(obviously you're going to have pieces) will take out all or most of your hp away. Seraph actually decided NOT to use chain on me during that match, and decided to use fog pieces instead in his sleep bind comboes.

I am maxing fog and spirit, mainly because i often find myself in situations where tears is not at its full potential. Plus i really don't like to use tears x.x

Fog Advantages:

-Major Slowdown (lvl 5+)
-Heavy damage at higher levels
-Large Area of Effect
-Ranged Attack
-Four hits

Fog Disadvantages:

-Takes a long time to cast
-Less useful against fewer players
-Less useful in Forest due to larger area to dodge it
-Large MP cost
-Cannot be used in air combos
-Less hits than Chain;often target is only hit once or twice
-Does not stun enemy

Chain Advantages:

-Heavy damage at high levels
-Air combo-able
-Eight hits
-40% Induction rate(Can turn almost 90 degress to either side)
-Stuns enemy

Chain Disadvantages:

-Damage decreases in long air combos; max decay makes it much less damaging
-Hits are escapable if target is far enough away
-Close-ranged
-Short(<1 second)delay upon cancel
-Heavy MP cost at max level
-Does not slow target
