Default Theoretical pvp build...

So like, I was bored and thought of something silly.

Yea, I know, before you go 'wtf', hear me out k?

My thought basically was: it's possible to get off 3 waves of LoH after a successful hit of spirit, so what if I just used heal instead? Heal is just slightly faster than 3 waves of LoH, has better hp:mp ratio, and cools down really fast. So instead of using heal as a cancel, I just cast spirit+heal and DON'T cancel :P

If I actually need to cancel spirit, I can use LoH, shout, or in the future, sunlight instead.

Concerns that I have:
1. Heal just heals once, so it's kinda all or nothing.
2. LoH, Sunlight, and Shout do not cd as fast as spirit, so that means more hotkeys to memorize.
3. LOL FAIL in stage and team pvp.

There's also the matter of where to put the last 4 points. dunno whether I should max out pieces, add some to PoS, get chain, oh idk, max out ls, mas out sleep AAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

If they get hit by holy spirit, then you'd prolly usually get your heal. However, most of the time ppl would yell "NO HEALING" so theres that problem...

As for the points, 1 chain, rest into Holy spirit, for moar dmg, or put the points into 1 chain, then max dodge and Moon peice.

Now, if you actually need to use self-heal to cancel, say, a wakeup while your back is to a wall while Shout is on its 20 second cooldown...

135 MP (Dodge), 323 MP (Selfheal), or you take a combo. Ouch.

Also, you can't really follow up after HS anymore in a combo, since S/LoH take longer to cancel and Shout pushes the enemy away.

Could be plausible if you have about 4000 MP, but otherwise... no.

In that situation, I'd probably spam LS. But I don't see what's so bad about using dodge.

Sunlight is instant, and the delay on LoH is insignificant as chain or spacebar doesn't need that much time. As for shout, people have done in in OB, I don't see how it's a problem.

That's what high/med level PoS is for. And that's also what people said about maxed spirit. I'm doing fine with it k

The fact that I'm focusing this build around healing pretty much says I don't give a **** about those people >:P

That concern makes it major enough to toss this entire build aside. It is possible to get 3 waves off LoH, but sometimes you're put into a panic situation where you just have to run away or be combo'd, or LoH is canceled. The option to escape while still getting at least some hp for your mana makes it that much better.

On top of that, while Self Heal is better in the mp/hp ratio is better than the ratio for LoH, it heals less at max than LoH does. You'll be putting in a greater risk, for less of a reward imo. If you have the spare points in that build anyway, it's not like you have too few to just dump them into the last few points for a max LoH.

It is a gimmicky build after all though. If you really wanna use it, just be careful, and have fun looking at the peoples reactions when they see (and lose to) max heal.

I'm thinking of reworking my battle healer into that build using the extra skill reset I have. I guess I'll see how it works after transfers.

Seriously Ralin, if you fail to get off that heal, you're pretty screwed. And even if there are other cancels out there, self heal remains to be the best hands down. The ability to run in any direction, and the low cooldown/mana cost makes it that good.

There's too much risk for not enough reward in this build.

I'm not going to use heal unless I get the spirit off/is opponent is a Dainn/Yuki doing mp charge.

I know I am giving up canceling abilities, but with the eir buff, there are just so many options for cancels that I think I should be ok.

Besides, it isn't as if I don't have enough chars to test it with :P

high lvl self heal... wth? isn't it same as 3 pulse LOH
wut's with the lvl 1 LOH... that's useless.

No it's not. It heals more hp for the amount of mana it costs with a 2 second faster cooldown. That still doesn't justify it though imo.

I wasn't taking the level 65+ skills when I made my statement `-`. They're both about as mana efficient that way. But Self heal costs less mana and uses less points.

I still don't think it justifies this though.

anyways.. if ur going for pvp build think of the future.. not only what ur capable of right now
heal cancel is required.. LOH heal cancel isn't fast enough
sunlight heal cancel is also a bit slower than self heal cancel
after the initial day i haven't seen any eirs use it anymore

llight shield lvl 4 is very helpful... the extra 4 seconds helps a lot
let's see..
lvl 6 PoS is needed and is better for mp than recovery maxed

dodge max helps too i believe... i haven't played healer for a while... but
minimum max height dodge is 200 dmg.. while maxed is 400-500 so think about it.

I can see why level 6 PoS would be useful due to the insanely higher mana costs along with the much greater power of LoH. But what new things will appear that make level 4 LS that much better?

nothing.. it's just 4 secs of breathing time.. lol <-- use it against hide, mdef 4 more seconds to survive
it doesn't look much but it helps...
an example.. get lvl 1 rage explosion.. feels like u run out of time before u do anything. lvl 2 is 5 secs more... but it feels so much longer

Do they patch the thing where if you use moon barrier you can see the tia on the mini map? If so I can see it being more useful. But I personally have never felt I needed to burn a LS to outlast a mdef. Usually positioning a barrier, shout, and bind do a good enough job keeping them away.

LS still seems like a panic button to me, to escape a level 4 nado or something like that, so I still believe level 2 or maybe even 3 will work just fine in most builds.
