Can't figure out how to send items to other people via mailbox. Hrelp?

Just drag an item over the mailbox and place it in the respective square for items. Then just type in their name in the required box and hit send. Transferring items costs 1,000 gold.

It ranges from instant to about ten minutes for whatever reason, at least it does when I receive stuff.

When I try to drag something into the mailbox, it switches tabs to the 'Saved' tab. QQ
