Default Weapon Differences

Yeah, since there must be like about four weapons or more to each character, must be some basic differences between each.
Tried checking DnF Wiki/Japanese, but that has so much ingrish with Google Translate, I can't determine what it says. orz

SO. ANYONE? Stuff like, "lol, dis weapon attax @ hax speed" etc. etc.

It's pretty much a speed difference usually. Slayer weapons have slow, slow, average, fast as the three different types. Some weapons have higher M.atk than they do P.Atk and such. It's pretty much differences like that.

Yeah, generally the only differences amongst weapons are weapon speed, damage (normally directed related to speed), and the fact that certain skills (masteries) apply to specific weapons.

There are some other subtle differences that are stated on the wiki like horizontal range and target area as well as the affects that weapon have on MP costs of skills and cooldown times of skills. There's also small benefits like hit rate % increase or magic critical rate % increase.

For slayers, Great swords have the most attack range. Maces have the most atk power? Beam swords are the fastest hands down. Katana is the in the middle weapon. Short swords have the most matk out of all the weapons.

This is what I was looking for, same with Zeke's information.
The fact that some weapons have differences in attack range and speed could have a character be more unique instead of just maining their default weapons. ;_;

I will leave this here, too:

Known fixed damage equation: Fixed damage skill power + Fixed damage skill power * ( str or int x 0.004) = Actual Fixed damage

Known percentage damage equation: Weapon damage + Weapon damage * (str or int * 0.004) + additional damage = actual percentage damage

Additional Damage = Piercing Damage from upgrades.

My Asura uses Great Swords since the other skills I'm not using from Asura tree are physical % damage based, and most magical swords tend to have weak physical attack. 80% of the Asura skills are fixed damage, so aside from the +int on them, I don't really care about the magic attack on the weapon.

What about best weapon for subclass and later on?
I really like the bowgun for gunner should i even be a ranger....

Some subclasses exclude some weapons from certain skills, other subclasses include a mastery.

Considering Ranger skills just exclude a lot of hand cannons, I'd say bowguns are doable, but you'll be lacking some of the passives.

I can't stand using anything slower than a Bowgun for the Gunner because I like juggling enemies.

That chart that buta posted is assuming that you don't have any weapon-related passives. For example, the Ranger gets a passive that increases the speed and power of Revolvers, which is why you see all high lvl Rangers use Revolvers in the korean version.
