I don't think they're creating a completely new cast of characters. The only thing for certain is that there will be initially five (though probably more in the expansion pack =_=) to choose from. I hope the Amazon makes a comeback *crosses fingers*

Oh poop, you're right! I totally forgot about the gender selection thing. I liked the amazon and how she could do far-ranged but up-close melee as well. Oh well... maybe they'll have the generic archer, ranger or rouge kind of thing.

If I can't have the amazon, I must have the paladin! D8<

I played on/off diablo 2 since 1.10 .__.

I witnessed 3 or 4 ladder resets D:, only participated in the beggining rush of two of those though.

Highest I got to was lvl 94 on a Druid, that was in 1.11.

I dreamed of this day,lol

I went to the website with my older sister... it sounds like a really cool game, even with your character is reacting with the environment of the game. I can't wait until it comes out. Me, my sister, and my father are big fans of that game.

the characters announced so far is:
Barbarian (diablo 2): the old buff guy with the infamous whirlwind move.
Witch Doctor (Diablo II): kinda like the necromancer, but waaayy more cooler than the necromancer was.

you can now also chose gender of the characters, which they annouced.

From reading the FAQ, there will be a single player also, which kinda makes me doubt they will make it P2P.

I know ALOT of people would be pissed if they did =p

Blizzard said that there will be major changes to Battle.net when Starcraft 2 comes out, I hope at least that the service doesn't become pay to play... Or at least have it so it changes into a more steam-like thing with more features, but it doesn't have to be a seperate program.
