man
i still find it wierd that in many interviews they said that they had no plans for the xbox and basically promised it would be ps3 exclusive
i wondered what made them change their mind
then i remembered.
money
Don't suppose I should spoiler tag this in some sort of way? lol
To be honest, I am very surprised, considering FF13 is going to be a PS3 exclusive in Japan according to this this trailer, also @ gametrailers.com
Leads me to think a couple of random theories:
1) Square-Enix understands the console market very well and trying to get maximum exposure across the board (considering 360 is basically a dead fish in Japan >.>)
2) For as long as this game has been in production for, I'm surprised at how LITTLE content they seem to actually want to put in - There's a huge leap in storage space between a Dual-DVD and a Blue-Ray disc (unless, they intend to use a multiple disc system for the 360 like Mistwalker did for Lost Odyssey)
In a way, it seems like Square-Enix is taking a page from Mistwalker in some weird sort of way. Star Ocean 4 exclusive to the 360 right now? I wonder how that's tiding over in Japan.
wait,FFXIII is an exclusive in japan?
thats lol.
and thats true,FF13 will be big,i wonder if they will come in multi-disk.
from what i remember,MGS4 used up almost all the space in the blue-ray
i expect FF13 to be much bigger then that.
but i dont know much about the technicalities so meh.
Guitar Hero: World Tour - New guitars, wireless drum set, music studio (make and share music), Metallica's Death Magnetic
Im pretty siked since im a 360 fan boy myself.
Plus so many songs to play <3
And the avatar system looks very promising

That's almost 6x the space comparing a Dual DVD versus a Dual Blu, but even if Square decided to use a single layer, they're still losing almost 66% of their potential space if they plan to make a single disc for the 360.
Alternatively, they could do some humongous compression on the 360, but I can't imagine the load times then x.X
mmm,thats what i though
i was thinking that blue ray was like,3-4x as big as dvd,but 6x?
i wonder how this will play out /=
less content/shitty quality?
the fanboy in me hope thats what happens....
This may just be me... But this is probably the only year where I could care less about E3. XD
And my interest in any new Final Fantasy has completely 100% died. I will play and finish all the ones I have now, and probably never get another. I have a PS2, Wii, Dreamcast, and Super Nintendo in my room. Since the last two are dead and the PS2 is almost dead.. why bother? I don't have the money to buy a new system again, and I'll quickly end up not having the time once school starts. The last game I bought was Okami for the Wii a while back, and that'll probably be the last new game I'll get untill Christmas.
I guess I'm becoming less interested in new console games. I have a ton of old ones I never finished so finishing all of those would take a few years. I usually play free online games more anyway. XD
