1.Why should you become Mr. or Ms. ggFTW?
I really didn’t expect to make it this far in the contest. But if I were to become Mr. ggFTW, I feel as if I would represent the ggFTW community in a positive way. I’m an easy-going kind of person who loves video games and loves to meet and talk to new people. I keep an open-mind and always willing to try things once or hear out someone's opinion. I feel these are qualities that a Mr. and Ms. ggFTW should have, and I feel that not only myself but the other candidates fulfill them as well.
2. What qualities do you feel a good role model should possess? Who is your ggFTW role model(s) and why?
The qualities I feel a good role model should possess are honesty and the ability to inspire. When I look back on the people I consider my role models I always remember how honest they were with everything, even if it was brutal honesty. Many times the only way I learned from one of the many mistakes I’ve made is from someone telling me how stupid I was and how I could fix it. My role models in life have always had the ability to inspire me to become a better person. Whether it be learning from their life experiences, or being pushed by them to step out of my shell and enter a contest because they believed I could win.
If I had to pick my ggFTW role model, I would say it would be a little vampire named Minty. In case you don’t know who she is, she’s usually the target of many cruel jokes and the object of desire for many pre-pubescent boys. Ok in all honesty Minty has by far one of the best senses of humor I have ever seen, I have yet to see her complain or get butt hurt over a joke. Not only is she the gold mine for comedic material, she is also a staff member here at ggFTW!. From personally knowing her I know she loves being a member of the staff and from what I can tell she’s doing a pretty great job so far. She’s one of the members here that I truly believe has what’s best for the community always on her mind and does what she can do to help the community. My respect for her keeps on growing, and I hope one day everyone will notice what a great role model she is.
3. What has been your most significant accomplishment as a ggFTW member and why?
Hard to say, since I don’t think I’ve had that many yet. I would say a personal accomplishment for myself, is to come out the shadows and stop just lurking. For a long time I’ve wanted to become an active part of this community, but my shy nature has always kept me from doing so. I’m sure the members here who see themselves as shy people can understand the feeling of accomplishment you get when you step out of your comfort zone and see that it all worked out for the best.
4. What are three words that describe you best?
Easy, Breezy, Beautiful, Mr. ggFTW.
Lol just kidding, in all seriousness if I were to pick three words it would be; driven, passionate, and kind-hearted.
5. What is the best advice(s) you can give to the community of ggFTW? [Please pick your top 3 if you have more]
1. It takes more effort to try and make others change their beliefs, than it does for you to listen to what they have to say and hear their side.
2. Never sign up for “7 Steps to get a Bubble Butt” in order to lose weight. It’s actually a lot more exercise and less stare at one’s butt in the mirror.
6. If you could meet any three ggFTW staff members, who would it be and why?
The first staff member I’d like to meet is Minty, she’s a kind person who’s tons of fun to be around. The second staff member would be Kyzuumi; I feel like Kyz and I would paint the town red and party like no tomorrow, and who doesn’t enjoy a good party? The third staff member would have to be Mitchi. Although I think we’ve never had a conversation before, I feel like we both share a passion for literature and writing. Both of which are something I hold dear to my life.
7. If NoeJeko makes you Management, what changes would you bring to ggFTW?
There really aren’t many changes that I could think to bring to ggFTW. Some things that I hope I could help to with is to help expand the community. A way that I think would help is by asking volunteers from the community to set up a type of "Helpers" team. This team would consist of members who would focus on a single game (different teams for different games) with the goal of helping new players, while at the same time advertise ggFTW and bringing them here to make use of the resources offered here (wiki, an active forum of people who know what they are talking about, ect..). Helping out the community within a game under the name of "ggFTW" not only makes for good publicity, but hopefully will bring in loyal members who may become an active part of the community. I know there are already some members who do this on a personal scale, but I feel an organized effort would be more productive.
