It's most likely there was only a few votes that had been cast when a lower one was cast, causing a larger effect, seeing as there were so few to start with anyway.

Like let's say one person rates it a 5, and another person rates it a 1, it will become a 3, a 2-star drop rate. It should stabilize out however, the more people rate it.

I frankly think the star rating thing is sorta flawed and believe we'll need to come up with a better way of picking the top few for later potm.
