[Survey]: Your laptop.

So just another survey on what laptop do ggftw-ers own/use? Are they satisfied with the current laptop they have? Do they have any problems? Or anything special about their own laptop.

So guys, just vote for which laptop brand do you have, or if you've multiple brands of them, just mention it down as well. Let's share the story :3

For me, I own an Acer 4920 lappy, that I bought like 2-3 years ago...so far it stick kicking even tho I always bring it up and down..lol, pretty satisfied with it.

I have a HP Pavilion dv6-1215sa since Oct-Nov last '09.

I haven't had any problems with it, apart from a physical accident; having another laptop drop onto it and break the '3' key T.T
The battery life could be longer, but it's not a problem for me. I love it (-:

I'm on ASUS G1SN,pretty neat a system and had been my desktop replacement for a year. No troubles with it except that the battery's horrible since it runs on high. :<

HP ProBook 4310s.

Got it cheaper from my uni, and serves me well for my mild gaming + anime needs.

I have had a Sony VAIO since May '08, I don't really like it. It has Intel dual cores but everything's integrated. Not to mention lately it's starting to show signs of age, like random shut downs and system fails.

HP Pavilion dv6-1215sa. Same as Aimee.

Dell Inspiron 1545 :>

Lenovo 4051 Ideapad.

It's better than my old gateway, but it's barely a year old and I'm having some problems e.e

HP Pavilion DV7-2140ED here, I'm VERY disappointed with the battery life. But apart from that, it's very good.

Why do you hate it?

my laptop is still delayed. i'll get back to this topic in a few weeks time.

Coffee 04-02-2010 03:38 PM

Sony VAIO FW. Got it for $649 and it can play Bad Company 2 and Modern Warfare 2 on medium settings.

I have one of these too (it's on the way.....)~

I also have, and have had, many Apple laptops. Very high quality stuff, definitely worth the money, especially now that they have Intel Processors.

WhatThePho 04-02-2010 05:48 PM

Vaio VPCEB. Got it a month ago and it's so much faster than my 8 year-old dell.

Graphic card probably isn't as great as Coffee's FW series, but it can still handle Crysis and MW2 at low/med settings.

I also like this web surfing feature that doesn't require you to turn on your OS.

SilentSaber 04-02-2010 11:18 PM

Asus Z6300A. It's been going to classes with me in just my backpack with my note books and stuff, in several countries and generally been carried around a lot. Still works fine. Got it some time 2004, I think. (Intel integrated graphics though, no fun.)

Acer Aspire 8730. This lappy is still quite new, and I have no problem with it except that the speaker sometimes buzz a little. Though, that might be my fault cuz I keep dropping things onto my laptop xP. Loving the 18.4" screen =]

its just really slow, terrible graphic card... things like that.
It can't handle adobe flash or photoshop well ;_; and it lags with all the games i play

Javier 04-03-2010 02:12 AM

A Fujitsu lifebook that I bought 3 years ago (my first laptop ever..was a complete noob when it came to the specs..). I wanted minimum specs anyway, since the lappie's mainly for school (I use my desktop for everything else).

FlamesBlader 04-06-2010 01:47 PM

Apple Macbook.
I love it ;D? Should be great for recording, which I plan to do. (Logic Studio)
