How does bodyguard work?

...for raccoons and divas?
There was a thread about this on mytrickster but it isn't opening up.

I want to tank for my friends at pvp, how does this skill work?
Is it like guard, where it works only a certain number of times then cancels, only just once, or for as long as the skill lasts?
Can you even use it in pvp?

Really, skill description here at GGFTW explains it all clearly :p it works as a timer skill, no hit amount restriction.

Guard is a timer skill as well, just saying. But thank you for clarifying.
It works in pvp as well, correct? Not only when your friend/whoever you're bodyguarding is bossing or whatever.

Yes it works in PVP. However, it has a semi-small range so you'll have to be near them at all times for it to be effective. Any time you run out of range, Bodyguard vanishes off your party.

It's a pretty useless skill to use since it's suicidal unless you spam pots or get Cured.

Actually, the skill is pretty useful during wars or whatever, as long as you have a good amount of HP. But if you don't war or even PvP much; then don't waste your TM on it.
