RP: Space Station Oasis (temporary name)
Name: Fiorello Cherry
Hair: light brown
Appearance: Height: 6'1. Tall and masculine, with a slight hint of stubble on his chin. When out of uniform he wears jeans and brown leather cowboy boots. He has an array of button down shirts and vests and has a red handkerchief on his neck despite there being no dust blowing in the station to merit one. He owns a hat but it's rarely on his head. The man is certainly out of place on a space station and in a library.
Personality/Character: It's an obsession gone wrong. Fiorello has an unpresedented affection for the old American west of long long ago. That obsession comes through in everything he does from his clothes, hair, smell (is that a good thing), mannerism, and at times speech. No one knows how he can manage to be so rugged on a space station especially since everytime one sees him he usually has his nose buried in a book (usually historical fiction/western).
If you can get past that eccentrism though Fiorello isn't a tough person. He genuinely loves reading and being of help to anyone who asks. He considers himself the law of the library and as such can be harsh on those who do not adhere to the rules.
Backstory: The year was 1865. Some would say it was a simpler time after the throbbing passion which was coined manifest destiny. Yet, those who cultivated that rough territory knew it as it was; a land of widerness, strife and lawlessness. There is almost so much of the wild a man can take before it seeps into him. It was into this that a young man was born in a soddy on the plains of Nebraska...
Wait, I thought this was Fiorello's self written memoir... what? You mean it is? What a load of rubbish.
Who knows what to believe about that kid's past. He ain't from round these parts that's for sure.
