Default Finir Penatoba

RP: Burning Steel and Blood

Name: Finir Penatoba
Age: 21 (still considered a cub among Dragonkin)
Gender: Male
Race: Daemon - Dragonkin (a dragon demon species)
Occupation: Retainer of Tiamat (Officialy Disgraced)
Height: 6'10''
Weight: 481 lbs.
Eyes: Narrowly opened most of the time, as if glaring. Thin black irises, burning bright with yellow, orange, and red, respectively further away from the iris. Looking at them is like looking at an inferno.
Hair (Or Mane): Dark Violet

Appearance: His rather slender body is that of ferocity and power personified. His hair starts at the forehead and stands on spiky ends down his neck. Horns protrude from the front of his forehead back to the top of his skull in a v-shaped, becoming progressively bigger and curving backward toward the sky the further the horns go. Horns are also adorned on the back of his neck, but they are covered up by his spiked mane. Behind a zig-zag maw contains teeth made for tearing, much like a shark's. Muscular shoulders display his u-shaped scales in a brilliant hue of azure. Upon his back stand wicked wings with navy blue webbing. Navy blue plating starts at his chin and continues downward on the front of his body, ending at the bottom tip of his bladed tail. The tips of his four fingers harbor black razor claws for slashing. His legs are shaped like that of a dog's hind legs. His black, four-clawed feet are massive compared to other bipedal creature's by nature, and slightly more webbed. He only wears light greaves on his legs and leaves his feet bare. Buckler-like gauntlets are strapped to his arms, covering both of them fully. He wears light armor plating that covers only his chest, with the emblem of Tiamat adorned elegantly on the left breast. He covers his pelvic area with a light blue sash. Oddly enough, however, on the leathery strap on the front of his chest armor is a red butterfly ornament, a direct contrast to his appearance.

Personality/Character: Although his body is nearly a weapon in and of itself, Finir does not use it to his full potential; rather, he tries not to kill as much as possible as a matter of respecting life. He is somewhat cold and mute to strangers, only talking when he feels necessary. He is somewhat distant, muttering to himself at times. When he smiles, it signals his trust in the person/people he smiles to and begins opening up. Oddly enough, as a contradiction to his appearance, he loves to show how people can enjoy the little things in life, much like how his father encouraged him to do.

History: Finir was the son of a modest craftsman who enjoyed creating pendants that friends, buddies, or couples would get to commemorate an everlasting relationship. From this love of crafting came a bond between father and son that emphasized celebrating life, which is why his father, mother, and he were avid Retainers of Tiamat, and thus worked within the Dragonkin military as well. Because Finir was then too young to understand politics, his father paid attention to the current political airwaves within their region. More detailed explanations came from their mother since she worked within the government's branch within their region, mainly as a sort of ambassador for her district.

His father, however, had become suspicious about the past few elections when : not only were the new Lords and Ladies of Tiamat coming from the same political party; they all had the same sort of war-like policies, were largely ineffective in solving regional issues, and seemed like they were just puppets of some entity behind the scenes. Finir's father asked his mother to find out what was going on exactly. The information depicted a deviation from Tiamat's original resurrection standards - "Quell coming peril and disaster countless times with pure willpower, and I shall appear to you." To the ones behind the scenes, this wasn't good enough, apparently, his mother reported. There is an alternate way to resurrect her sooner, and that was from the use of a large amount of Dragonkin essence in an occult ritual that would supposedly resurrect her 'true form.' Whatever policies that could kill Dragonkin citizens legally and without much notices, the government signed into law.

Incensed by this, his father decided that he would make this information public. At the time, Finir, then 19, and his mother were both within government walls as a sort of week long get-together between government officials and military trainees to celebrate the new official Retainers of Tiamat. Finir was one of these military trainees. In the mean time, the streets were outraged with opposition toward these uncovered policies thanks to Finir's father. The government kept them hushed from the officials and trainees to avoid an internal breakdown, especially from Finir and his mother as they planned to assassinate Finir's father.

The night the two would finally come home was the night Finir's father died: as he worked on more keepsake charms and accessories, hooded assailants came and attacked him. His father managed to kill one of the three fire dragon assailants, but the other two managed to overtake him. Along with his body and the shop home, the assailants burn the documents that depicted the government's horrid plans to ash. Finir and his mother were told to stay within government walls because of what happened, not because they were going to kill them as well, but because they would be able to provide a good cover up. An official told them that rogue fire dragons had come to his father's shop and murdered him. Finir and his mother believed it, and grieved together by giving out a sorrowful family roar.

Two years of service had gone by, when Finir's mother didn't believe in what the official told them was the truth. She eavesdropped on officials and looked into government filing once more to uncover the truth, and found her husband's elimination records, detailing what had happened exactly that night. Enraged, she went to slaughter the two remaining fire dragon, without a thought of subtlety within government walls. When government officials managed to subdue her, they decided to hold a public execution. As a result of her actions, Finir was also held partly responsible for not stepping up to stop her rampage when he had the chance to. He was then officially disgraced as a Retainer of Tiamat, and was forced to watch his mother's execution.

Largely, the crowd sympathized with Finir, having to lose both parents in such a short time. Some even attempted to rescue her, but those citizens were impaled on ready lances from the Tiamat Guards. Before the guillotine came down on her neck, his mother began to pray a sort of incantation he had never heard of or saw in any of the books of Tiamat. As the guillotine came down, there was a brilliant flash of cyan light that engulfed her as she kept chanting louder and louder. Blinding the officials, crowd, and the Guards, Finir stayed focused on his mother, and tried to use the opportunity to save her. When he got close enough to her, she let out a brilliant, unfamiliar roar, her body glowing in strange symbols. The light grew more intense, blinding Finir to immobility. As the light faded, both he and his mother were gone from the center of the square.

Finir awakened among the shelter of trees in the wilderness, and oddly enough with his official Retainer of Tiamat battle armor, gauntlets, and leg guards on him. Beside him sat a pocket radio and a red butterfly pendant - one pendant his mother kept and cherished most.

"...Mother should still be alive," he said in his deep, somewhat gruff voice, picking himself up from exhaustion. He looked down at the pendant in the palm of his claw in sorrow. "She has to be..." He pinned the red Birdwing butterfly pendant to the strap of his chest armor and looked around.

"Maybe...we can figure out together how to set Tiamat's coming resurrection right again..." In the tree branches nearby was his mother's old pack she used to carry him as a child in during flights. He decided to use it to carry his few belongings, and started to walk, wondering where he would go from there...

Special Abilities: As an Azure dragon, Finir can naturally manipulate water or any substance that contains water, so he is a useful ally during droughts or in desert regions. He may encase his gauntlets and leg guards with ice for extra power, or even sharpen his gauntlets with ice to inflict wounds. He may also use steaming water to broil enemies, or foods in pots for a healthy meal. Even though these abilities are naturally available to him, it is not very often he uses them unless in critical danger or when asked to. Also, because he focused more on physical strength, and is still too young for his magical properties to manifest correctly, his magical abilities are still in developmental stages.

Equipment: Finir does not use any melee or ranged weaponry as his weapons of choice, but would rather let his fists do the talking. He uses the armor on his legs and arms as a means of inflicting pain, mainly aiming to break bones rather than tear wounds. In summary, his body is his weaponry: claws, teeth, bladed tail, horns, and wings. He also has a pocket radio handy in case he needs to hear about the current political unrest back in his home region, so that he may judge his next move accordingly, if needed.

RP: Paradise Lost

On the History part, skip to the last four 'paragraphs' if you don't feel like reading.

Name: Finir Penatoba
Age: 121
Gender: Male
Race: Daemon - Dragonkin
Occupation: Ploshast Land Elite Fighter
Height: 7'3"
Weight: 591 lbs. (pounds)
Eyes: Inferno Orange
Hair (Or Mane): Dark Violet

Appearance: Because Finir was able to return to his training that was prematurely cut short before his mother's execution, he is now in his prime, weighing now a little over half a ton. An impressive sight, he towers among most, and is easily spotted in a crowd of common folk. His wingspan has grown from its previous 13 feet to an impressive 16 feet. His heigt, however, forces him to crouch down a lot through doorways. Sporting a ferocious body and appearance makes this Dragonkin the epitome of the perfect weapon as the result of the Ploshast military training programs.

Personality/Character: For the most part, Finir is silent and most speaks when there's a pressing concern or when he's spoken to. Ever since the end of the war one hundred years ago, he reflected on himself and realized how impatient and somewhat impulsive he was. Now, he seems less on edge of anything and thinks before he acts. Though, gaining wisdom is entirely a different and debatable question...

History: Finir was guided by a voice that resonated and echoed its even and motherly pitch in his mind back to his home region of Ploshast, as they had started to mobilize on the coasts. After repeated days of traveling and resting, the azure dragon finally came upon them and shouted in urgency that the war was over, and that they had no need to mobilize themselves for a battle abroad. The people were familiar with the young Dragonkin's father in the past, and surely most did listen. However, some were still concerned with the bounty on his head, but they were eventually subdued until the whole of them had to hear what Finir had to say.

The azure dragon ordered them not to put up arms yet; that the real enemy was inside the city walls of the capital, where the majority of the army was stationed or lived. He reminded them that they knew a portion of what was going on inside the government, but they did not know to what end; it was at that moment that he mentioned of the occult ritual being overseen and conducted by an Oracle. Now that they were armed, Finir told them to turn around and march back home, where they would quell the enemy from within. Taking no chances, the azure dragon killed any of those who were subdued for aiming to collect the bounty.

The army did soon arrive at the walls of Chokma, and immediately Finir led the assault. They vastly outnumbered the guards and the occultists; weapons against books and tomes, armor against robes. The sheer numbers of the army eventually engrossed the government building, bashing into the doors like a rampart. A swath of carnage had bloodied the insides of the government, until finally they reached the chamber of the Oracle, overtaking her with the steel jowels of weaponry and silver plating.

Immediately, those that were captured, including the Oracle, were publicly executed. The government had been overthrown, but no one readily took to the helm. Still, Finir and the army spent their deliberation days on rebuilding - even expanding - Ploshast's main city and its borders.

As Finir was overseeing and working on construction, a smooth and familiar claw came upon him from behind, and before he could even turn around to see, the person said: "I will do it."

Finir turned to see his mother, and immediately he broke down in her arms to weep. She had been away trying to reach the Queen's realm to contact him through her dormant state. Finir never knew about this of his mother; only a few were allowed to have the key to reside with Tiamat herself, even in her dormant state before ressurection. She used her powers to speak to and guide Finir during those days of aimless, instinctive traveling back to Ploshast.
He wondered if one day he would have the key himself...

Immediately, Finir was pardoned from the bounty on his head, and was remade officially into a Retainer of Tiamat. For many years, he resumed his training, toning his body and focusing his mind for the greater tasks he wanted to accomplish in Tiamat's holy name. As his mother took power over Ploshast and named the Lady, with no Lord to speak of, she made her son into one of Ploshast's Land Elite Fighters, which was mainly composed of Bronze and Azure dragons. His mother pused fervently to finally conduct a serious trade with other regions of the world, including the mainland of Utgard, with Chokma as its main focus. Immediate results have had Ploshast finally put on the map as a wonderful trade for top quality sea food as well as equipment and techniques for hunting. In turn, Ploshast gained the latest technology that had errupted in Utgard, and the region flourished for many years to come.

But there was something strange one day, on the day of Tiamat's ressurection: the ceramony was properly completed, but the dragon goddess did not show herself! Nor were there any signs of stirring inside her dormant, radiant body as it still lay there before, fragile and vulernable. Finir's mother checked for herself to confirm it to be true. Not long after, Ploshast journalists had reported of strange happenings even at the mainland of Utgard: apparently, there's a late oddity in the mana levels around the city of Chokma, not the mention the occurence and abnormal weather patterns that were also occuring there.

The Lady turned to her son, since he had been in Chokma before on trading occasions, so he would be more familiar of the area. She ordered Finir to investigate exactly what was going on in that region and collaborate with the city to try and fix it. The fluxuation of this would reach Ploshast soon enough, she warned, and that she did not want that to happen. Without hesitation, Finir accepted his mission, for he knew that his 'friends' lived in that region, and wondered how things were holding up with them as of late.

Before turning to leave, however, he presented his mother's red birdwing butterfly pendant to her, and solemnly took it back, proud that his son took great care of the memento of his father. As he left the presidential chambers, she started to weep.

The azure dragon took the next trade airship toward Chokma, in hopes of perhaps seeing old friends again, or maybe for the thrill of the assignment...

Overcoming his abstainance, he combines the forces of water and ice with his rather brutish fighting style. The training he recieved had also amplified his water magic to more advanced stages, showing signs of improvement.

RP: Midnight Fantasia

Name: Finir Penatoba
Age: 444 years of age
Gender: Male
Race: Daemon - Dragonkin
Occupation: Ploshast Missionary
Height: 7'7"
Weight: 792 lbs.
Eyes: Orange Inferno
Hair: (Mane) Violet, dyed fading to white at the tips
Notes: Dragonkin are, in essence, anthropomorphic dragons that represent one of the four elements of nature, individually. As of late, they are starting to commingle with outside races and study magics that are not within their element. This has created Dragonkin types ranging from poison to gravity to even sound.

Appearance: Tall, massive, and fierce best describes the look of this particular Dragonkin. Clad in his natural azure scaled hide, his very body seems to be a weapon in and of itself, with clawed fingers, toes, and a jagged maw to emphasize this point. Constant training on his part leaves little body fat and a great amount of muscle mass. Large wings with violet membrane expand a full 14 ft. length-wise. His mane travels down all the way from his head to mid-length of his 12 ft bladed tail.

Personality/Character: Finir remains to be serious as ever, joking only on rare occasions. Though he rarely acts on impulse anymore, he is still quite sensitive to people that cause distress, madness, or chaos in any way, shape, or form for shits and giggles. Finir is also somewhat emotional, being mostly alone throughout his life. Looking out toward a lake or gazing at the sea is his form of therapy, and his Rubic's cube as his source of staying sharp.

History: Finir was the only son of a craftsman father and a female government officer, which is why he takes interest in job of active military duties and off-hand hobbies like glass jewelry and clay potting. The trials of his childhood have molded him to a seeker of peace, and has developed also a passionate hatred of negative chaos. This left him early on to have an impulsive temperament, acting on the thoughts that readily came to him, and thus causing the sort of chaos that he so fervently wanted to prevent in the first place. Over the years of training and learning from the outside world, he had calmed considerably.

His home region of Ploshast was for a large amount of time isolated and mysterious to the rest of the world. Until Finir's recent ventures, any outside air transports that got close to the land were quickly dealt with by force. A military superpower in and of itself, the region of Ploshast remains heavily fortified with its own natural barriers, thus prompting Ploshast traders to inform outsiders to come by air only. The current Lady of Ploshast is Finir's mother. As Finir takes care of things abroad, she actively handles the issues at home, and has been given positive feedback on handling many key department issues of Ploshast as a whole.

As time passed, many Ploshast researchers have participated in a recent weapons project for Ploshast in an effort to cut back on weaponry expenses. The best way to do this, some thought, was to specially train elementals into the service of the soldiers. The way to do this, however, was up to the elementals.
Some volunteered. Others were born into the program. Either way, each elemental needed a master so they could further their strength into something greater than ever expected, enough to where the bond between a Dragonkin and the elemental are strong enough to change the elemental into a weapon or armor suited for the particular Dragonkin.

Thus, this started the 'Soul Mate Project,' a period of time where the whole of the Dragonkin were each linked with a corresponding elemental partner, chosen by the elementals themselves. This is when Finir met Nimi, a rare water elemental born of seafoam. From the beginning, she learned everything that Finir knew simply from linking to his will, including speech. The two of them, along with the other soldiers with their partners, trained together vigorously to finally transcend Nimi's abilities beyond her natural limits. Thus, with her newfound power, the elemental could change into a formidable weapon. For Finir, this was the Switch Axe. But their powers could go beyond even this...

The perfect opportunity to improve these strengths was of the recent epidemic of Élivágar's Embrace. With this plague, it was reported that the ones that died from it eventually rose back up, and even spoke as if nothing happened. The ones connected to this victim or have seen this victim become missing a while afterward. Finir's mother ordered him and factions of scouts to investigate the burial regions among Asgard, Midgard, and Utgard. As such, Finir, along with his soul linked partner, Nimi, set out for Midgard...

Equipment: As with most Dragonkin, Finir only wears enough clothing to cover up what most find socially unacceptable to be seen, wearing a decorative sash that covers his front, sides, and behind, extending right above his toes. The leather belt, strewn with pouches containing various herbal powders, is what mainly holds up this sash. White cloth covers from his lower thighs to his mid section.

This time around, Finir now wields what is called a Switch Axe, a two-handed weapon that can convert between a raw-damaging Axe Mode and a faster, more powerful Sword Mode. It is somewhat compacted together along his back, which at first made his flying a little clunky. Steel gauntlets and leg guards are his protection, both held together fast with chains that Finir utilizes as ranged melee attacks.

Magic and Abilities:As a Water Dragonkin, Finir utilizes the element of water, which includes steam, high-pressure water jet attacks, snow, and ice.
Because he is attuned to the element of water, the Dragonkin can even find underground reservoirs in the middle of a desert and knows what temperature is needed for steamed food recipes.

Random quirks?: As of his last event with Cecily, Finir is secretly afraid of women. A permanent and embarrassing mental scar that the Dragonkin simply cannot shake off. He is also fascinated with little toys, which forces his irises to grow in a sort of diamond shape. His first experience with a Rubic's Cube triggered such a reaction, followed with a soft, childish murr animating from his throat. When deeply affectionate, Finir will lick the person on the cheek.

RP: Alternate Dimension Spa of Destiny!
Name: Finir 'Penny' Penatoba
Age: ??? (Same age as her 'real self')
Gender: Female
Race: Nephilim - Dragonkin
Occupation:
Height: 7'2" (because of...the 'event')
Weight: 526 lbs. (after...unfortunate circumstances)
Eyes: Inferno Orange
Hair (Mane): Violet
Notes: Dragonkin are, in essence, anthropomorphic dragons that represent one of the four elements of nature, individually.

Appearance: Still tall, still well-built, still...busty?! This Dragonkin's anatomy had been totally switched around to fit perfectly the description of a female Dragonkin's body. This 'accident,' as she would call it, was the result of a recent birthday practical 'joke' gone horribly wrong. She sports more supple frame, a nice set of curves, and a fair rack - the anatomy of your usual healthy and active female Dragonkin.

She touts a beautifully curved mane, almost imitating the movements of waves out in the ocean. 'Penny' has a thinner neck and smaller horns. Her wings have also been enlarged, for females naturally have bigger wings than males by a slight margin. In summary, one could call the appearance of this poor individual like an Amazon - still muscular, rather busty, but also retaining femininity.

Her voice is even and sultry, almost like that of a seductress.

'Penny,' as with her 'real self', wears little clothing, and has no care to anyone's offense of it. She wears a two piece set of regal female Dragonkin thick cloth. A tribal skirt blasted with the scarlet stitching of the date palm tree on both flaps, covers the front and back of her pelvis completely, with the sides of her azure legs mostly left exposed, revealing some of the white silk wraps strewn about her upper thighs. Her bladed tail hangs loosely under the jewel belt she has fastened at her waist, sporting the jewel of the month her 'real self' was born. The large silk wraps extend from the back of her neck, crossing at her upper chest, effectively covering her nipples, and the rest stretched down under the tribal cloth, where she meticulously wraps the rest of it around her pelvis and legs. She has a blue butterfly necklace surrounded by glass flowers on a bejeweled base, much like her belt. Large gold bangles hang loosely from her wrists.

The scales among and between her breasts and in her nether regions are much smaller and softer than anywhere else on her body

Personality/Character: Her personality is much different than her 'real self's': 'Penny,' as she calls herself, seems more dispassionate with the ones around her at times, but is quicker to reveal her thrill-seeking, flirty personality. She has a sharp tongue at times, but for the most part, she means well. Or not. With a body of her own came a new set of mind - however, the mind of her 'real self' constantly conflicts with hers every now and then, leaving her to mutter with herself.

History: It was thanks to some of his former rivals in military camp, still holding resentment in their hearts, that used a spell simply called 'The 63rd Rune' during one of his birthdays. The spell itself puts the body in a comatose state and an entity is separated from that person. This entity cannot reunite with the body until after a year's time. This entity is sometimes the antithesis of the original person - but it is guaranteed that it will be the opposite gender of the person.

And thus, 'Penny' was born. With the (aforementioned) clothing and jewelry, she was disoriented -and in truth frightened - as she immediately recognized her 'self' laying on the floor separate of her. She scrambled toward him, but the three 'friends' held her back against her will. It was then that she was raped. However, as they attempted to strip her of her jewelry, they were jolted by a spark upon contact, making it much harder to hold her in place. She fought back with the fighting styles of her 'self,' but she was still weakened from her separation, and thus was easily overwhelmed. Before being muffled by a gag, she let out a distressful roar.

Almost immediately, two Ploshast soldiers burst through the unconscious Dragonkin's front doors, ran about the house and into the scene of the crime, with the criminals in the act. The three 'friends' fled the room, with the soldiers giving chase. They eventually subdued the rapists after their hard resistance. A moment afterward, there came a bursting sound from the scene of the crime, as well as a white flash, which startled the soldiers into going back to the room. But when they arrived, the female Dragonkin had dissappeared, leaving only the body of the unconscious Dragonkin...and a forbidden book.

-----------

She didn't know where she is, nor how she got there. But wherever 'here' is, it was filled with many pleasant fragrances. They coaxed her into opening her eyes. Still a little dazed, she could only manage to look at the white porcelain of the object in front of her, and lay against the tan tiling she ended up against. She didn't feel like moving, nor could she seem to muster up the strength. All she needed was a little rest right now. Yeah, that's all she needed. Maybe she'd be in a much better mood after a good nap. So the female Dragonkin did just that - with no regard to assessing where she was, or in what danger she was in. Instead, being vulnerable and asleep seemed like the better idea for her...

Special Abilities: 'Penny' retains the natural abilities of her 'self,' so she has an avid control of water. Very useful for steamed dishes and filling hot tubs.

Equipment: Nothing. She is her weapon.

Random Quirks?: -Sometimes refers to herself as a male named 'Finir.'
