Playing the game or Being played?

Sometimes I really wonder, is the player playing the game or is the game really playing you?

Why do I play games?

I play because I have some free time to waste and get away from my reality. Also the most important thing is just not think so much and have some fun.

Yes to have fun is probably the most important part for me.

What about you? Why are you playing? But before you answer, if you don't mind the lengthy essay please read on.

When I go on the forum about my favorite game section, all I see is players cares about "Oh which Mobile Suit(MS aka Class/Character in other games) is the best. Which does the most damage and have the best skill set. Oh that doesn't have that, then it is useless, it is crap/garbage, why bother. That is all that they talk about.

Thus, I am refraining from commenting on the forum any further.

If it does not do the most damage, if it does not have the best weapon sets and skill sets. It is garbage and look down upon.

And players look down upon on it simply just for that reason. They never bother to actually trying it out. All they do is just follow the general trend and go for what all other agree as being the best.

To me, that is just "Baka Baka-shi" (Non-sense)

WHY? Why do you use something so weak and so garbage?

To me, it is more like having fun and being a challenge more than anything else.

I play it because I like it. I don't think it is garbage. I think I can make use of it and make it fun for me.

Yes there are things that are written in stone game mechanic that cannot be change. Yes these game mechanics dictates which characters or MS will have the greatest power and damage output.

But that isn't everything to the game is it?

Who would play that kind of game, if it is like that? Everyone would just use the best and strongest and everyone would be the same. It would be completely pointless.

Talking about which is best on paper is completely pointless to me as well. Yes on paper everything sound nice. Comparing this weapon against that, how this seems better, that seems weak etc. But it is too ideal and too unrealistic. Especially in a action game when each of your actions can make a difference.

Why are you here trolling and talking when you can be in game testing, playing, making miracles?

When you get your character or MS on the ground and in the field, that is when the real game begins. Because you start to think. You start to make decisions, you start to use tactics that make the best out of your "crappy useless garbage suits".

Every move you make, every corner you pass, each shot you take and make. Even with the slightest luck, the tide of the game can be unpredictable because that is how reality is.

Yes it may be the weakest character/MS possible, Yes this thing fails in close range. But your there isn't it? Your playing it isn't it? Your going to do whatever in your ability to make it come alive and put up a fight. You will learn from mistakes and will use field advantages as well as certain tactics that will make it work.

You will grow and advance with each defeat, because there is room for you to learn and improve. Since the suit is weak, you will learn how to keep it from danger how to manage it so that you will get the best of it.

On the opposite end of the picture. All your opponent can learn is well, "this is boring". Of course it is. Your using the best possible character or suit available. What is there for you to think about? Your nothing more than a mechanical part that is used just so that "hax" machine can move.

What is there for you to improve on and learn? Your already at the highest level possible. Things will die at the command of your finger tip. Why do you need to learn how to dodge? Why do you need to learn how to keep distance? Why do you need to learn how to use obstacles to your advantage? You don't! Because your not playing a game! Your being played !

When your talking about how good you are, your not. It is your suit that is good, NOT YOU.

Unfortunately, not many players are playing the game anymore. Even if they are playing, they are no longer playing for fun. All they aim for is how to be more "hax" and use whatever they can abuse including bugs, cheats, whatever to their advantage... Then they see these that does not fit their "hax" category, they call it junk and garbage without passing a second thought. Where is the average? Well to them, either it is hax, or it fails, there is no average.

They are brainwashed to the point where they can't even accept a second opinion on things.

Oh wells, until someday if ever, they bump into a wall and wake up. If not, they will just be chained to their slavery like they usually do, which by their means are happy, then that is fine too.

I am not saying do not play those "hax" suits. I do not deny their existence. But when playing those kinds of suits, do not keep thinking your all the great and denying everything else. Your giving 10% of work, while others are putting up 100+% to make up for the difference.

At the mean time, I am going to have some fun and make some videos with the best I have

No matter how out-gun certain character/MS seems, I'll just have to make it shine in where they are meant to be and i'll be satisfy.

These character/MS that aren't "hax" may be easily eliminated and beaten. But if I did my best, I played my best game. I made an difference. I have no regret.

Because that is MY GAME, That is MY FUN.

I play for one purpose, to become the best at the game and be able to show the world that I am able to do

I like to try my best with these suits. I often get made fun of by TW people for using crappy suits such as "Acguy, Jegan, Strike Dagger...ect". They laugh but I tell them it's the fun that counts.

My idea of fun is to win against better players, not just win. *Cue in the theme: Roar, O one who surpasses Supremacy*
