Eden not so eternal.

Posted 03-26-2012 at 08:28 PM by Seru
It's been awhile since I have written a blog, but I recently quit a game called Eden Eternal and wanted to write a farewell to the game and the people I met there. This is a lot different than my other entries but, I wanted to leave it here anyways.

I learned about Eden Eternal from all the hype that was being buzzed around here at ggFTW. I had recently quit another game called Trickster Online, and needed something new to try. I never really expected it to become my new gaming obsession. I was dazzled with the shiny environment, versatility to choose between classes, and honestly I liked the idea of starting fresh with something new.

After about a few weeks of playing, I was invited to join Symphony. And all I have to say I was in for a pleasant surprise. From what I could see Symphony began as a small family style guild that kept growing slowly as time went on. Honestly most of my memories of Eden Eternal (will now be referred as EE) are from being in this guild. I have mostly nothing but positive memories of being in the guild, especially with the people that I met. I met another gay named Juro (known as Esper here), and my homefry Elysium ( our resident Ninja staff member Yuki) I met plenty of other good people as well, much of who I still keep into contact with now. But for the sake of keeping this blog from being too long, I won't name them all. But all good things came to an end, and the grand and lovely chapter known as my time in Symphony came to an end.

Which than led to my joining another guild known as Deity. Every game has the large guilds, and EE was no different. Deity was that guild for the Aquamarine server. They were known for their guild size and their domination of Territory wars. I had never really been part of the "big guild" in any game that I've played. So I was hesitant to applying, but the guild quickly grew on me. There were many more names to remember and people to talk to than I was use to, but Deity offered a family environment that any EE player would be blessed to be apart of. I'm glad to have joined Deity and to have been part of the Deity family, even for the short time that it was.

Now for the reason for me leaving the game all together. It's no secret that the game was dying, but the dwindling player base had no impact on as to why I chose to leave. The honest reason is that I was ready for a change. For months now, a large portion of my free time was taken up by this game, and for the first time in a long time my life seems to be heading in a positive and progressive motion (more info in future and more interestingly written blog entries) and I felt that it was time to put a rest to this game and work on my life. This game in no way caused me any strife, aside from taking time out of my life. But honestly thanks for everything EE it's been fun, and I love the new people but good-bye.

Also B> new generic F2P game to play now. /jaykay lol. Also I'll be back to updating my blogs again soon o/.

Leaving a game is always heart breaking at times with the memories. Though I have cycles of quit/hiatus/re-log on.

Now I just keep my family of guildies on Facebook and MSN *cannot let go of them EVER!!!!!*
