I recently decided to double major in psychology and elementary education, but a while ago, Michal-Anne (my teacher from summer quarter) recommended I try for early childhood education with IBEST 'cuz I can get a grant with that.

Good Juju

Something good seems to happen to me everyday lately. I've had some ups and downs, but overall, things are going very well. I've recently decided to apply for a position on the staff at the Community House I've been living in so I can help the staff keep up with their appointments and other duties. This morning, I was going over my cover letter with another resident who took classes in business and she went over some corrections she'd like me to make to it.

Valentine's Day Bribery

On Valentine's Day, I made the rounds around the Lower Columbia College campus, handing out chocolates with scholarship recommendation forms. My instructor from summer quarter got a bonus Valentine's Day gift from me as well, expressing my appreciation for her guidance and such.
My former career counselor and the Bridges to Success Program Coordinator were also delivered chocolates and scholarship application recommendation forms.
It was a pretty good day for me.

As some of you may know, I've not been online much lately. This is largely because I've been homeless. Since the incident with the people I was living with before, I'd been homeless, but mom and I moved back in with Nanci after Steve moved out.

Pursuing My True Self

Well, this essay was/is for my GED scholarship application. I had to write an essay and attatch it to the application. The essay's supposed to explain what my plans for the future are once I've gotten my GED. I don't think it's quite as good as "The World Was Out To Get Me", but it serves its purpose well and properly conveys my plans for the future. Once again, I hope you enjoy it.
