DS and PSP games. What to choose!?

Posted 12-07-2009 at 09:54 PM by PedroRomero
new background. vaan is cooler than you.

So I have 21 dollar of store credit at Gamestop and it's Employee appreciation weekend so I get 25% discount. Anyway I was wondering what game to get.

Here is what I can afford that I was thinking about:

-FFXII : Revenent Wings (DS) 19.99
-Hammerin' Hero (PSP) 12.99
-DJ Maxx (PSP) 17.99
-Miles Edgeworth (DS) (putting down the entire 21 bucks towards my reservation)

I can't decide what to do. My friends said they don't like Revenent Wings but I only have one game on my DS now (other than the Phoenix Wright games since I sold everyting else over time and my friend as borrowed Dragonball origins for an indefinate time). That one game is Pokemon. For PSP I currently have Dissidia, Crisis Core, and FFII that I haven't beat the soul of rebirth part yet on. So for PSP I'm pretty set. However I do want a Naruto game. I just don't know what naruto games are good. All naruto games sort of blend in to me and the only one I actually ever played are Clash of Ninja titles which are Wii only.

So meh.

DJ Maxx seems fun but do I really need a rhythm game? not really--

you know what... techno music just doesn't suit my fancy. i mean i play DDR and junk but I can only dance to the songs. I can't listen to them unless I'm actually playing the game. And some techno is tolerable. I know techno is split into different categories of techno much like how hip hop and rock have different categories within its genre. However, I don't know what the different categories of techno are. All i know is I hate the kind that pulses... like thut thut thut thut thut thut.

it irritates me when i hear it.

I have no idea what to get. But PSP games are generally more appealing to me atm. but then again poor DS is neglected (of course that will change when miles comes out xD)

anyway blegh.

From my own experience, the Phoenix Wright games don't have much replay value. Unless the Edgeworth Version is implementing something different, once you complete the story, you're basically done.

I'm mostly attracted to the DS for it's nice selection of lengthy RPGS. Although I never completed the game (school eventually got in the way), I liked FFXII: Revenant Wings. Looking past Vaan's hotness getting squished into a stumpy sprite, the game has great graphics and a decent plot :3

Definitely go for DS games! I have both PSP and DS and my DS is like 10x more useful. I didn't see this on your list, but the price should be down, how about Yoshi's Island 2? Like that sort of thing? I never really liked the Phoenix Wright series, and I heard FFXII RW was a bit lacking and boring, but if you like Vaan a whole lot, it's gotta' be fun. XD

i like the phoenix wright series a lot. i find the characters endearing. so getting miles edgeworth is a no brainer for me. i already have it reserved I just haven't paid it off yet.

anyway thanks guys. I guess I will go for DS after all. but I dunno if that means I'm getting revenent wings or not because i'm getting mixed reviews from everyone.

@soc- i can borrow Yoshi's island from my friend so i'll do that instead of buy it.

Vaan is the epitome of failure, with his sprayed on abs and all. I actually didn't mind FFXII, but Dragon Age is MUCH better (in my opinion).

    Vaan < Alistair. ;D

You know what, don't even bother with Yoshi's Island DS, even if you are only borrowing it. Trust me, it's just not worth it.

It wasn't THAT bad... It wasn't worthy of its predecessor but it was still pretty good!
