Slammed

Yeah, I haven’t updated the blog since I got back from AX. Why? Your friendly neighborhood NoeJeko has been so busy he doesn’t know how to spell his own name anymore. I haven’t had this much stress since I left the Air Force but it’s causing a lot of good things to happen so I’ll endure.

I have a major project coming due at work at the end of next week. That wouldn’t be so bad if I hadn’t been scheduled for a week-long database training class during the same week so that’s made for some really long days. Plus, it’s frustrating working with a vendor that isn’t in the same timezone as you. Add to this the fact that I had a deadline for FanimeCon come up this week. I pushed for an extension on this but didn’t receive word back, so I made the deadline with 14 minutes to spare and got almost no sleep. Of course, I still had normal forum maintenance too.

Yesterday, the owner of another fansite came to me and said he no longer had time to run it, so I had to orchestrate a merge of the two communities last night. I think I finally got to bed around – 1:30 or so? I had to be up at 6 for work.

I was supposed to go to Disneyland with Bob at the beginning of August but that fell through due to external scheduling conflicts. At least I can unwind over the weekend (I hope) as we plan to go to The City and catch Batman on IMAX.
