When it rains it pours?
When it rains it pours? So lets all go out and play.
So on Friday the bus that runs to my office didn’t come. I waited out in the blazing sun for two buses before calling a cab. The cab had the wrong street address so he took like an hour to arrive. I finally got into the office at 1PM. A bunch of the code was getting majorly refactored and they need me to help out on a part of it, so i started syncing to the subversion branch of the refactor, when pzzzzptt my computer froze and my hard drive crashed. I booted my computer back up and (of course) check disk starts running (makes sense I was syncing to SVN so of course there was lots of file IO happening)…. only check disk doesn’t recover very well and the files remain corrupt. I decide to run check disk again with a couple more options and leave for the day.
Now today I go in and my computer won’t boot, it hangs on checkdisk. I download seagate’s diagnostic tools for my hard drive and yup, it’s failing. Great. To make matters worse because last week we were building for a game preview (sorry I can’t really talk about it, but the fairies can ^~), i couldn’t check a lot of my files into the subversion control, which means— they are all locked away on this dying harddrive. yup!
WONDERFUL.

But things weren’t all bad today, I went to see the new batman film which was AWESOME :)
I also raided someone in Ikariam who’s town names are all names from the tv show “Stargate SG-1″ of which I’m a huge fan. So I pmed him and said “unscheduled offworld activation!”- which you’d really have to have seen the show to appreciate, but oh well, I got my geeky laughs out of it as i sent my troops in to destroy his hopes and dreams.
Oh, and cause i love pictures, I’ll leave you with my 5 min attempt at “tilt shift” photography:
