10:10pm; stare at laptop while I contemplate on life.

Posted 03-23-2009 at 10:23 PM by kuyaBaka
Oh fark-me.
It's already 10:11pm. Scratch that, 10:12pm.

Now, I could probably type up some melancholic perspective on what happened since I last left off the epic of my life (by the way, I'd like to take this time to notice hoe much I like the word 'melancholy'. It kinda sounds like a mix of watermelon and cauliflower. Yeah. This is one of those lame interruptions I make to force you to read more. LD.) -- and I just might do so. Although, not right now. Right now, I opt to give a brief overview of it in my oh-so-meaningless analogies (yeah, the splenda, fake tostitos, and lemonade references that make you /facepalm and wish that I had paid attention to symbolism and abstract writing lectures in English class last semester. Well, too bad!).

"My momma always said, 'Life was like a box of chocolates. You never know what you're gonna get."
-- Forrest Gump (1994)
If only life were served in a decorated box with a nice ribbon or fancy paper and textures.

I'll start with Friday. (Ok, I lied earlier. I just noticed that it was 10:16pm and I'm still wide-awake and eager to type. So, here's to words!)
Instead of going to class, I got to take a leave and go with the Wind Ensemble to perform at a nearby college. They were hosting their annual county festival, and we always go. Always.
So, the whole event was pretty chill. Got to play a few notes in a very well-mannered practice room where we got to warm up. We were graced to be adjudicated by extremely talented music professors and critics, as well as the honor to be lead to a clinic with one of them after the performance. It was a wonderful learning experience, and re-taught me one of life's deepest lessons there is -- there's always room for improvement (and whenever I think of this certain phrase, my mind goes back and turns on a TV to imagine an episode of "Home Improvement". It was a lame show, I know). Also, my cooking class got to bake and eat their apple pies they made two days prior. I didn't get any. QQ.

The weekend went by pretty well, also. I was able to get a lot of work done in a pleasant manner (by that I mean I didn't have to lock myself in my room until I was all finished).

On second thought, my life has been pretty laid-back and lax. I don't feel like I have to express how much I loathe life, because, right now, I'm enjoying it. I've got much done, and I've got work ahead of me. Spring Break is coming to me in just about 2 weeks. I can hold out until then, and take a nice, refreshing vacation from the traffic of my life. Just lay back in front of my laptop, watching Grace completely obliterate the living daylights out of silly Coconut Crabs and Starfish while dragging along little nublets across Fire Isle.

Hm. I love oranges. I could eat you all up. Hell, if I played that way, I'd totally copulate with them. It's too bad I'm not a freak like that. Nope.
Oh, and Simone, I really hate you for teaching me that word. It is forever stuck in my vocabulary.
And yes, I totally had to italic-bold the word for further emphasis.

fark. it's 10:26pm. GO TO SLEEP. qq'
