Y'know the saying "When life gives you lemons, make lemonade?"
Unfortunately, that doesn't apply to me. Y'see, life decided to give mad bad lemons -- the kind you're mom teaches you not to pick off of the selection at the grocery store. The kinds that are either too soft, too hard, too green, too yellow. I don't know. Life never gives people an advantage -- at least, when they really need it.

First off, I've got this assignment for my Spanish class. We are to 'broadcast' a news' weather forecast for our little town, and a few other select cities across the nation. It has to all be taped and recorded, and will be graded in front of the class -- kinda like a movie night where critics are invited to, well, critique.
My problem isn't the fact it's supposed to be a video; in fact, I like the fact it's a video. It's a new way of presenting I've never thought of (or had the courage to) presenting in that matter. Hurray. Instead, it's the fact that my partner, one of my more reliable, smart, and quick-witted friends, decided to leave for a few days during this week -- the week we planned to start recording. The project is due this upcoming Monday. Monday.

Oh boy, let's not get started on US History AP. That class has been putting me down since I first walked in the classroom last semester. I'm so behind on notes (yet I get the other work done just fine?) and I'm stressing over the AP Exam for it (next month, I believe?). My other AP class (English, to be exact) has us doing essay drills to better prepare us for the upcoming exam. My US History class? Nothing. Just more notes.
Ugh -- notes. When I signed up for the class, I was told (no, I was explained many times) that it would be a lecture-based class. Everything would be given through orations and the such. So far, we've only had 3 oral lectures this semester (out of the 10 chapters we've done). Last semester was even less -- 2 lectures out of the entire 30 Chapters we've read through.
What's more ironic about this is that my teacher constantly asks why I'm doing so bad on the chapter tests. I've seen my scores, and every chapter that she's given us oral notes on, I've proceeded to score a high B (if not an A) on the following test. Everything else? C's or below. Lame.

School and hormones obviously do not mix. It's been proven with the many high school break-ups and break-downs I've witnessed.
Now, I've always through of myself as headstrong individual who won't let some silly little person (or people, whatever) distract me from my focus. Well, that's been proven false many, many times in the past. Why do I keep thinking it's any different now?
Ugh, what's worse is that sometimes I have hidden feelings for you that I don't let out. And guess what? We bump, trip, fall, and eventually run into each other many times on accident -- making this such an awkward moment for me.

On the subject of human emotions --
... some people really need to quit with the *****ing and whining. I mean really, you're back is in a horrible condition and your doctor has told you many times to not do things like run around, ride your horse for extended periods of time, or get on rollercoasters. You said it yourself, the plates in your spine are twisted in ways they shouldn't be, so why do you keep doing things to make it even worse? Are you an idiot?
... you're the type of person who thinks they're all that and a bag of lima beans. Well, you're not. You're nothing but a fake brand of tostitos who thinks they're the real thing. It's like "I Can't Believe It's Not Butter," only tasting so much worse. I'll make this analogy to people like 'Stefan' from this past season of Top Chef. You have this cocky attitude that obviously gets in your way. When a teacher says your writing is subpar, don't shrug it off or even argue with someone with more experience in literature than you. Take the advice and become humbled. Also, your "I'm higher than you" attitude gets really annoying. All your 'friends' think so, too.
... no. Bananas and gatorade do not belong in my band locker. If she said to throw them away, throw them away in the trash. I'm sure the last 3 words were meant to be obvious.

School aside, other aspects of my life have been dealt a heavy blow by stale lemons.

Band? One word, 'economy'. Better yet, two words: economic crisis.
Because out state's budget sucks, we don't get any money. This year, we've been invited to perform at Hawaii, in Las Vegas, and even in Chicago. Cool, right? Nope. Since we have no money, we can't go anywhere. Sure, we can do fundraisers, but those end up biting us in the ass with people complaining and whining, and even worse. People not cooperating and actually making money. Instead, they opt to take the packet and leave it on their counter, never to be seen again.
It is because of this that other things are taken away from us. We planned on finally buying a second Bassoon for the Wind Ensemble, the one I was supposed to play. Nope. We should be planning for our end of the year trip, one that I've been looking forward to since last year. Guess we don't have to worry about where we want to go this year. Well, maybe we can tackle some challenging, fun pieces of music like 'Candide Overture.' Nada. No money to buy all the missing parts we no longer have. (Also, never take home original copies of music. It makes it so people like me have no piece to play in the next few years. SHARE THE WEALTH, PLEASE.)

Sword of the New World. Came back to the game for nostalgic purposes (and to beat Kait at her own game of ninja-vetting). Looks like I came back at the wrong time. Lots of bugs and glitches going on the server, AMs not responding to forums as they normally would, holding back on updates (what? something like 5 months without an update?), and missing compensation for wasted cash items. Where's the fun game I left and longed to play again? Gone? Guess I'll set up roots on the sGE servers in case SotNW goes down. At least they've got the updates we've been missing.

Well, that's a recap of this week thus far. Let's wait and see what else life has to chuck at me. Hopefully nothing like grapefruits. I really hate grapefruits.
