dental update on the road to brand new 'prosthetic' teeth

as you can tell from the title, i've come to start using "prosthetic teeth" instead of "dentures."
I still cant even get a grasp on the fact that i'm only 23 and already need them. But the good news. I should have semi-functional teeth by the end of january or early february.
First impressions were taken yesterday. Let me just say, having them done wasn't nearly as bad as i remember as a kid, but then again, that dentist was a royal ******* who let you suffocate while choking on the impression "goop"
These impressions get sent out to a lab where they make "custom trays" for a second set of "more accurate" impressions that my prosthetic teeth will be made with.
I go back on the 7th (IF i can afford my next $290 payment because i make my first $500 automobile maintenance payment because it needs a whole new evap system.)
the 2nd set of impressions. With custom trays, it should be even more comfortable than the impressions taken yesterday
Then if i continue a 2 week visit schedule and payment schedule, i will go back and try my prosthetic teeth on the 21st so that the dentist can check the allignment, fit, comfort etc.
they get sent back to the lab to make said adjustments and then i go back 1 more time for more adjustments if needed on around the 4th of january.
And then, if all adjustments are correct and fit great, i should have teeth around the 18th of january.
Due to the fact that i had no teeth when i started going to this dentist, i'll probably need more than 2 adjustments due to the fact that my bite of off by 2mm in the center.
All in all, i'm most worried about learning to eat with them and learning to talk for the 3rd time. I havent been able to eat and chew my food correctly in like 4 years. chewing is gonna be brand new all over again.. ewww
lol
