Distraction and Abstraction

So. This is Chesters here, in case you weren't observant enough to catch on to that information by my username as the author and the medium-sized icon of my avatar.
Anyway, yes, this is my first little bloggie post for the staff blog. You may also note that blogging isn't really my... what's the phrase? My cup of tea? ...I'm pretty sure it's something different but that's the only phrase I can think of... Regardless, I'm not very good at it, and... I just can't think of content to write for stuff. But enough about me and my issues (which, I'm sure you know I have plenty :V), this post is about... the original things I was going to write about. Yes... and that was.... uh. Oh right.
So you might be wondering what I've been busy with the past week or so. Okay, who am I kidding. No you're not, but let's do some role-playing and you can act like you are interested, kay?
I just recently reinstalled my version of Guild Wars: Game of the Year Edition. After a somewhat god-awful patch time, I finally got into the game. Except... I had no idea where I left off!
Okay, so not quite. I had my quest log to remind me where to go next, but... I really didn't want to. First off, I didn't like my character (when I first logged on before patching, my character was the wrong skin color, lol wat. Racist. D: ). Second off, I forgot the whole plot and storyline of the game (which I know most people don't care about, but it does to me '-').
So I finally decided to make a new character. My original character was an Elementalist/Necromancer (Primary/Secondary Profession). My remake was an Elementalist/Mesmer. I know, it's not that different, but I didn't want to go off into "unknown land" for myself. :U
So, long story short, I made a new character (and left the old one to rot in my character bank until I decide what to do with him), and successfully got him to level 10. Level doesn't mean that much in Guild Wars (level cap: 20), but I still view it as... sort of an accomplishment. My old character was only 14, so I'm almost back to caught up (sort of). Guild Wars mainly consists of following quest lines and completing party missions. Oh, and of course, that little thing called PvP. I tried it a few times, epically failed every single try. I'll get the feel of it later, I hope. ._.;
Anyway, one of the things they track in game for you is the amount of map explored. Currently I have 6.5%. That doesn't sound like a lot of work, but... it is. And I have barely scratched the surface. D8 I have a long waayys to goo~ But I suppose that's fine with me.

Here's a map of the area I've explored, i.e. the area inside the green outline.

But that's not all. I've also been feeding my lolcomputar addiction with a smidgeon of The Sims 3: Collector's Edition. I don't want to delve too far into that topic of The Sims right now, so I'll just say, I have some very... peculiar stories of my Sims' adventures. Expect to read more on those later, perhaps. (Unfortunately, I didn't take any camera snapshots to make a real picture-story of it to upload to The Exchange, boo. :\ I'll see if I can snap a few in the future if the weird story continues to unfold.) My current project is refurnishing the family's house, since it looks a bit like a house that was just hit by a train. Except not quite so gruesome (although the designs of it sure look like it.) I may even, if I like it enough, upload the house to the Exchange, so perhaps I can get a few downloads and ratings and such. I promise it'll be good. ;_;
Hm. Did I say that thatwas the only other game I was playing? If so, my mistake. I forgot my little lovechild game, LaTale.
I haven't been exceptionally active in game, but I occasionally do some quests with... certain individuals... and that kind of stuff. I just recently finished and turned in the Watermelon Seeds quest. Now I hate myself.

Don't cry, little Chesters. You're only incredibly hideous and a massive eyesore to everyone. :v

Currently my character is level 67, so I'm not that far from job advance at level 80. But that's in average person's terms. In my terms, I'm still like, a year away (if not more) from job advancing (if ever...). I tend to be a slow one when it comes to leveling, huhuhu. Especially if it involves grinding (but for the most part, I've just been doing quests 8D!)
Speaking of LaTale, the latest and current Wiki Job for LaTale is almost complete. The NPCs Project is nearing its completion, and just in time for school (for some of us, at least.) There's still a bit of work to do, but there was a tremendous amount of volunteer work. Thank you again (for the millionth time) for the work. You will be duly credited in some shape or form. :3 Stay tuned for the next LaTale Wiki project, I've honestly not quite deicded what it should be next. Perhaps I should take a poll? :9 Or maybe... nah, I think I figured it out.
We can have a fun community poll, later, maybe.
Well, that about wraps up my first, and very excessively long, blog post on the Staff Blog. This is Chesters, and... oh wait. I'm not done. Yet. Not quite.
I've decided, just for fun, to put a little bonus media feature of sorts at the bottom of my posts, just to show you what I've been listening, reading, or watching in the last few days, or right now in the present. Anyway, here is my latest feature. That's it for the blog, remember to rate the blog entry and comment! :] Tschau~!
