Blog post between classes

So I'm pretty sure that I've said this already, but college wins a whole lot. Classes are awesome, homework is... well, let's just say I haven't had to pull any all-nighters yet, and there are so many clubs. Too many, even. So far, I'm in the anime, game development, college radio, Linux users, and Japanese culture clubs. I kinda hope that I don't end up being in too many clubs to do homework and such, I hear that's a pretty common problem. The last thing I need is more distraction.

Speaking of distractions, I got a Final Fantasy XI subscription as a birthday present to myself. It's a pretty sweet game, I have to say. I managed to play for a good four or five hours the very first day, and even got the guy in the room next to mine to be concerned for my health. So basically a fun time. I don't see myself playing it much after the free first month. (Sorry SOC.) I'll probably pick it back up during vacations, if I don't have a lot of work to do. We'll see.

Yesterday afternoon, I figured that it might be a good idea to look on Ebay to fill out my collection of Tales games. (The only one I actually own at this point is Symphonia.) It turns out that you can get them for pretty cheap on ebay, if you find the right sales. It is so easy to find the wrong sales, though. Like Tales of the Abyss listed for 99 cents. When I bid on it, it turned out that someone else had set their maximum bid somewhere around the $25 mark. There's really no way of knowing when that will have happened, though, so I guess it kinda makes Ebay fun. Like their commercials say, things are better when you win them.

I managed to locate almost every Tales game (that has been released in America) on Ebay for a (for now, at least) reasonable price. The two that I didn't find were Destiny II (apparently so ridiculously rare that someone is willing to pay $25 for the second disc. It is a 3-disc game.) and Phantasia, which I didn't even bother looking for, because, as I said in a recent conversation,

But yeah, Abyss for $10.50, Legendia for 99 cents, Vesperia for $8.75, and Destiny for $12.50 all seemed like good deals to me. We'll have to see how the bidding goes in the next couple of days to determine whether I actually buy any of those.

My next goal: finding something I don't want to sell on Ebay. If someone is willing to pay my roommate $25 for a broken iPod, there's got to be someone who will pay for whatever junk I have lying around.

Wait, Destiny II as in Eternia? Because Destiny II and Destiny 2 are actually two different games, so we usually call NA's Destiny II (Reid, Farah) Eternia. :P

Bastard, there aren't any clubs at my college (well, any worth investing time into). Curse you community college and your not-fun-clubs!
