LaTale has me frustrated...

So I'm at a friend's house right now, and I'm attempting to play LaTale from a flash drive that I installed it on. So I started up the game, and the launcher gave me a bunch of errors. So at this point I'm thinking "Wait, wtf?" So then the launcher starts acting like it's updating. And then, it pops up another error. Something about not being able to connect to the server. AFTER it's finished updating. O_O! And so then it lets me start the game, and I am confused. So the game starts, I try to log in, and then it tells me "Wrong resource version."

ARGH!

So I have an addiction, and I cannot fulfill it. I'm going to try reinstalling it.

Blarg finished.

Did you put the setup file on your flash drive? You probably can't play it FROM the flash drive, you'll have to install it on your friend's computer it self first. XD Just make sure that the setup file you got isn't corrupted, 'cause that's pretty plausible when trying to transfer with flash drives~

You know, that was the problem. I don't know why it did; I've played from a flash drive before. Whatever, I managed to get it to run properly by installing it on the computer. But then it was way laggy so I said screw it and now I'm playing D&D. That's cool for the time being.

Not all computers support that kind of playability from a flash drive though, mostly because of speed issues. XD It sounds like he has an older machine, but I'm glad you're having fun~

Oh, you have no idea how old that thing is...

But we tried it on his laptop too, and it didn't work for some reason, so I'm thinking it has something to do with his flash drive. BUT, I only play LT on my portable hard drive, and I've never had any errors with it being played like that.

Portable hard drives and flash drives are different. XD A portable hard drive is more likely to be built to run applications and programs from, while a flash drive is simply meant to transfer data onto the main computer. Playing through a flash drive will be very very slow, if it even works at all. USB ports aren't as quick as your normal hard drive. XD
