March 5th Korean Patch. Your Thoughts?

Posted 03-06-2009 at 09:09 PM by boomsticky
A Korean Patch went up on March 5th. AO forum member, Shiho, translated it for us Atlantians to review over it and predict what is to come in future English patches:

Now a few things I would like to point out. I like their new challenge system, particularly the password protect. Wouldn't want those silly people to battle you when you're trying to get your friend to fight...

'The Strategist and Fishing Maniac title will provide buffs.'
- Personally, it's great cause I have the Strategist title :P.

'If you repair gear that you can create, the maximum durability will not decrease.'
- Even though an equipment's durability drops slowly, I like this feature because it promotes crafting. On the English server, I notice how most people would find it cheaper to buy what they need rather than crafting it. IMO, crafting needs more of an influence on the game.

'When wandering NPCs disappear, there is a low chance that they increase the population of the arrival town.'
- Well, there's bound to be one loser ruining everything in town. Later alligator!

'If you do not complete the Sea King's Palace questline, your main cannot level above level 29.'
- I agree with the OP. Take that botters!

So how about you folks? Got any issues or praises with Korea's AO patch?

Hm, I find it kind of interesting they would put such a level restriction dependent on the quest line. @_@ Though I suppose, I don't think anyone in their right mind would skip out on the quests.. since... yeah.
