Finally graduated
Walking down that stage to receive my high school diploma today was like coming up for fresh air after living under a rock for so long -- it finally hit me that this is it, my high school career was coming to an end and after shaking three hands and receiving an important piece of paper I realized that I was now an alumni of my school, graduated and ready to take on the next most important step in life -- college.
Of course I don't think I'm completely ready; I'm still in the mindset that after the next two months of relaxation and well-deserved sleep I'll be back to Bellaire High School to begin another chapter of my life. But that's not going to happen anymore, and I won't be walking to 1st period English Lit 10 minutes late everyday nor chilling in Caclulus BC with my favorite Mathmagician teacher nor spending hours upon hours in a certain yearbook room slaving over 360 pages of memorabilia (ok maybe this part I already got over).
But hopefully like every birthday that happens this feeling will eventually pass away as orientation (which for me is on Aug 31) nears and I start packing for RIT.
To end this little blog entry on a more optimistic note, I'd like to say one thing to all of my fellow 2011 graduates (high school and college):
WE DID IT GUYS!
and to all future graduates, best wishes to you!
