Do you mean short term or long term?
As in stamina recovery or the recovery you require through things such as weight lifting.

I mean how to recover from the lactic acid build up. I've read that over training is bad.

There's nothing else I can do besides that? What about cold showers, and massages :V

if you're sore then do that. protein helps rebuild the torn muscle which causes that soreness

I would assume circulation is a key to quicker recovery so you would want get into stretching more, massage would probably have its benefits as well. I have no idea about cold showers. I've heard a hot/cold combo does more of a benefit, one after another. Sort of like a hot and cold pack.

However lactic acid causing damage in tissue or stunting muscle growth is an urban myth. The pain you feel after exercise are caused by the micro-tears in muscle fibers in actually. Lactic acid is simply the heat you feel in your muscles whilst you exercise which quickly goes away when you stop, so its just an energy source. In the end, no matter what, you'll likely be fine. Just don't tear your arm off. In fact, its good to still move your arms in full motions so all the muscles can be stretched.

I know a bit about lactic acid already :P Thanks for the reminder.

Anyways, I've been stretching a lot lately. I think I have a problem recovering from exercise. For instance, I was doing some jogging for a while on Tuesday and ever since now, I can still feel pain on my lower back (I was doing some high knee jogging in the process) so it's been almost 3 days that I feel pain. Is this normal or what?

If you mean the pain in the next day then you just have to stretch out your muscles. When I practiced TaeKwonDo our teacher just killed everyone with a ton of exercises then made everyone stretch out, not even a bit of pain the next day~
Gotta stretch well though.

Nitric Oxide supplement.

DNP/Ephedra, but they may be illegal where you live.
