Default Muscles Aches

Ok, I've just finished Cross COuntry 2 weeks ago, and switched into Volleyball on Monday.
The first day i went to the practice, it was all about Working Out. Being the newbie, my friend(who was there before me for a month) was my work-out buddy...We did bench-presses and dumbbells and other things. But now...my arms really hurt like crap. I know that this is normal, but how long does the pain go, I've only experienced it for 2 days, and the pain goes away...but this time, its sticking with me....for 3 days..and my next practice is on Friday...I'm scared that ill break my bones that day x_x

The damage is that...its all on my arms and shoulders....I can't stretch a 180. Which im scarred, bc it hurts really bad if i do.

Take it slowly Ito!

Regardless of how much your buddies can press, you should always go at your own pace. Last thing you want is an injury. You should probably stretch more beforehand as well.

If it still hurts on Friday, maybe you can work out another part of your body or just take another weeks rest.

Don't kill your roonia fingerz k?

Pace your exercising, don't do it all in one day and wait until the pain goes away to repeat it. The lactic acid built up in your muscles in one day of full exercise will cause pain that will last for more than 1 or 2 days.

It'll go away eventually, but if the pain persists for a week or so, then you should go see a doctor so something.

Stretch before you exercise. Always, always, always stretch before you exercise, workout, do sports. Also, multi-vitamins can help with muscle aches because sometimes you might have some sort of a vitamin deficiency, but even if you don't have a vitamin deficiency the vitamins will still help you anyway.

Thanks for the advices/help/info.
We do a warm-up before we work out...as i mean..Run around the basketball courts for 2min >_> 60 sit-ups, some Inch-worms(dunno how to describe it),and running back and forth.

@ LightMaverick: I do take multi-vitamins, but the problem is that, my dad told to not take em if i have the cold(which i have atm, but only minor).

But i dont recall stretching..

You should do light warm up before stretching since the muscles are tight before you do anything.

Even if you don't stretch before, make sure you stretch after everything.
And before you sleep if you think the muscles are overused that much.
