Default uhm irregular sleeping...

Uhm lately to begin with i'm starting to get really tired like at 4:00 straight when i come from school. so it's still afternoon. now this has been happening since like... i entered 8th grade. and i always think "well i need a nap" so i take one and i wake up @ around 11 or 12 >_<
. now this is really getting on my nerves because i'm awake till like, 7:00 AM and my mom gets aggravated... so i'm wondering if it's good or bad or if there's a name for this thingy...

I'm kind of like that too. I love taking naps after school - I feel so tired >.<;.
However, waking up at 11-12 after the nap is kind of extreme, do you set an alarm clock when you take a nap?
I think iron helps you be less tired. It's in raisins and some other stuff. Maybe you're lacking iron?

You sleep at 4pm and wake up at 11pm or 12am? That's a full 7-8 hours of sleep already, the usual daily requirement of the average person...

If you want to sleep at a more "normal" time, then try to keep awake until 10pm and then sleep, and wake up at much later at 6am. It's going to be hard, so I suggest you ease into it by moving your sleeping schedule an hour at a time. Try sleeping at 5pm and waking up at 1am, then the next day or two try 6pm-2am, then 7pm-3am, etc until you make it to a 10pm-6am schedule.

sounds like you have jet-lag without having been on a jet. basically it's the same thing and you just have to get used to changing the time when you sleep.

Hmm, sleeping from daylight all the way till next morning is not good, try to stay away from the bed till you want to sleep for the night.

I had this same problem before, it went and go for me though, didnt do anything about it.

Well my advice is same as catharsis, force yourself to stay awake till like 9-10 evening and then take your "nap", this will have to grow to you though.

Go outside for a walk after school and after dinner could help to.

i usually nap after school for like 2 hours :x then i sleep again at 12 am ;~;

90 minute is a complete sleep cycle.

Something could have messed up your sleeping habits in the first place and now your body is adjusting to it, which, at those hours is not good.

Though, being in 8th grade around active puberty time, irregular sleep patterns are very normal. Usually requiring more sleep, for example, 10 hours a night, but not necessarily the times that you sleep. For me personally I would have my normal sleep patterns (12am ~ 8am) and sleep after school for 2 hours (3:30pm~5:30pm)

You can go forward or backwards to fix a sleep schedule. Since you have school during the day, your only option would be to put your sleep schedule forwards (4pm 1st night, 4:30pm the next night) in a gradual fashion.

And speaking of all this, I should probably improve my own sleep habits, lol.

ok so update post: i tried staying awake for as long as i could but the maximum i could hold it was till around 6:30PM so i ended up knocking out in my computer chair
