What is all the hype about? Every female blogger on the planet seems to be obsessed with it.
So, how's 'em Asian brands? I might give Missha or Etude House a try on a swatch of skin, because I have a feeling I'm gonna break out. -.- I also hear that MAC has a BB cream, but I'm worried about the pinkish undertone. It doesn't seem to be made for oriental skin.

Well, I have absolutely no experience with it (to be honest, I gave up on creams that weren't lotion and other foundations because most of them suck). But it might have been made to cover up and not heal. Asian girls seem obsessed with it though.. the before and after pictures are pretty interesting.
BB Cream = moisturizer + foundation + nutrients + anti-wrinke + suncreen
Basically an all-in one 'miracle' product of some sort.
It's not just an Asian thing anymore. It's gotten so popular that even brands like MAC, Smashbox, etc have released BB creams, too. A lot of the Korean BB cream makers have started shipping them to the U.S. (I think you can order Missha and Skin 79 online in the US, and these are the two most popular brands so far.)
I'm afraid to use them, though. I don't like using cream-based cosmetics. My daily face is just toner, moisturizer with SPF, pressed powder (I don't need much coverage), and blush/bronzer in the winter.
I seen their products on Sephora over a month ago, maybe two months. I wanted to try it, but haven't yet, wasn't sure I should get it since it had no reviews yet. Maybe I should go check it out now. :3
The reviews are all over Youtube and blogs. Every beauty blog/channel I follow is talking about BB creams. I'm starting to feel compelled to try it out just because everyone is gushing about it.
I just... really hate foundations and thick creams. The only liquid I use on my face is toner+ moisturizer with SPF. Kinda scared that I'll block my pores. I think I'll get a sachet first.
By the way, there's a bunch of knock-off BB creams on eBay. ><
I use Skin 79 and my skin really tends to break out after make up use but skin 79 isn't like that at all (well for me it is). Though, it's still important washing your face with wash peeling every night, before you head to sleep.
My friend is using Missha SPF ++21 and it's really good too, especially if you have a bright skin colour, you should use Missha.
^ How does Skin 79 hold up in tropical weather vs dry, cold weather? I alternate between two countries. I'm thinking the BB cream would be great during dry winters, but I'm worried that it'll melt off my face during the humid summers.
Well, I dunno about the consistence during humid weather, because it's usually very dry and cold over here and I haven't used BB creams this summer but yes, it's good during dry winters. Also I'm using the pink skin 79 (for oily skin). If you tend to have dry skin then you should get the gold one.
Oh and also keep in mind that Skin 79 BB cream's color has a gray cast. It somehow.. has an ashy tone (well for me)..
I don't have acne, per se, I just have a forest of blackheads that never go away. But it's a little expensive to try it on a whim.
Though their jasmine water BB cream looks
Only thing I'm worried about is that I have the kind of Filipino skin that gets dark when I stay out in the sun for more than half an hour (inherited from my mom, who used to get teased for it by her big sister as a child), but my face is so oily it shines like polished silver under the light of a thousand suns.
I am currently looking for a new bbcream right now and i might try those korean brands.. because i am currently using Maybeline 8+1 bbcream..this bbcream is good for me, i just had some oily isssues on my t-zone. so i am looking for new bbcream that will work on my skin probs..
