Quest Farming Guide

Welcome to the Quest Farming Guide!

These are all the quests that I’ve recalled worth restarting and redoing over and over again if you need to farm something specific. The rewards provided are usually the ones worth farming. Feel free to add more if I’ve forgotten some! Good Luck!!

How to Restart a Quest Line:

Hui Chao - The Quest Restarter Dude
http://img33.imageshack.us/img33/7581/aohuichao.png

Restarting a quest line that you have done in the past requires a specific license called “Secrets of Time,” and activation by a wandering NPC named Hui Chao. You can look at the different types of Secrets of Time licenses under the License type in-game through Game Info > Item Info. Here are the steps to restarting:

1. Buy or craft a License that corresponds to the quest line you want to restart. For example, if you want to restart the Beast Trainer Quest, then you’ll need the “Secrets of Time: Beast Trainer” license. Similarly, if you want to restart the Iron Doll Quest, then you’ll need the “Secrets of Time: Legend of the Iron Doll” license.
2. Search out for the wandering NPC Hui Chao to restart your quest. If you have trouble finding him, talk to NPC Livingstone located outside of Bucharest to help you locate where Hui Chao is at.
3. Once you’ve find him, click on Hui Chao and he’ll provide you a list of all the quests you can restart. The ones that are highlighted are the ones you can reset based on what “Secrets of Time” licenses you are carrying. Click on the one you want to restart and give the Okay.
4. That’s it! The quest line has been restarted and you can do it all over again!

Daily Quests:

- Daily quests are quests that are repeatable without a license. They reset every day, but only after the player complete that whole quest line.

Nice guide, I but just wanted to point out that the Solicitor daily quests are really annoying, stamina-draining and a waste of time lol. Best to just do dispatcher quests if you're gunning for that Collectomaniac title :P

Shirakani 07-22-2009 05:54 PM

Personally, the best quest to reset for exp as well as daily pocket change is the Knud one (Los Saqqaq). A run of this takes me approximately 50-60min if i go nonstop and don't stop halfway to talk to someone. Reward in money is approximately about 15m gold all up from rewards AND drops. This pays for my daily jackpot licence. Experience earnt is approx 3-4m from quest rewards, and around 5m from the actual acts of killing.

Outpay costs is very low, the reset itself is approx 600-700k, and you have to buy 500 thick animal bones. There's also one quest craft which is pretty cheap. Low costs, decently high return and reward... yeah, this quest is my once-a-day reset. It's a lot less overall EFFORT compared to the Constantinople Quad-Quest Reset method. The Quad reset gives OVERALL more exp, but the Knud one is more TIME EFFECTIVE as to exp/gold per minute of time.

Good for those of us with little time!

Best one to reset at higher lvls nowadays is definitely Hwarang quest, even after paying for the hackney and quest reset item, you still get a profit...depending on the server of course.

Shirakani 08-31-2009 07:20 PM

Exp is really high, though the side effect of this is the Hwarang summon value plummets to low low low value. Especially since the merc itself is really nothing special at all and if you plan to fulltime him in your formation you NEED a Princess to offset the passive's -HP.

Javier 08-31-2009 07:35 PM

The Hwarang does seem like a letdown. Not only does he not look impressive, he died like a waffle in 2 turns the other day in FL (Rayne was up against a guy who had a hwarang).

Shirakani 08-31-2009 10:08 PM

Hwarang has the most pathetic def of all the Bow class. Couple that with a skill that makes him DESIGNED to BE AN HERO and... yeah... no comment.
