How much has changed?
I haven't played AO in a few months and I've reinstalled and currently patching. I'm just wondering what's changed. The last update I remember is the patch that brough North America and the buffed Vikings and Archers.
Do Axe mains with melee heavy formations still rule PvP? Do Cannon mains with AoE/stun formations still rule PvM? What are the new main classes like? I didn't really find much info on this stuff when I looked. :/ |
Come back to Atlantica Soda, and bring everyone of old with you ;-;

There's way too many things to list. . .
-tonnes of new content (questlines, as well as dungeons) -massive FL rebalancing; reworking of Mdef; addition of Crit stat -Some new in-game systems (jackpot license, etc). Best for you to lurk official forums, or read the patch notes posted here in the Announcements section. |
Screw lurking forums, just come and experience it yourself 8D

Well to answer some of your questions, I doubt melee heavy formations rule anything now since ele's eat them alive. The current trend for pvp is double monk formation. Don't know what rules pve but doubt it'd be stun since you can't stun bosses pass Bran's castle.

PvE is all tank now.
|
seths is also nice in PvE.
The ultimate bossing squad would have both Pirate + Spartan: Spartan's Warcry reduces combo rate (so boss only hits one) and pirate AP drains so he only attacks once every few rounds. Double Monk in PvP is very difficult to beat, but there's a lot of versatility now, it's imho probably the most balanced free league (in terms of strategy) so far. That's not saying much, however, as Musicians are still LOL good in FL |
Waaaaaaay too much has changed... Each patch notes reads like a freaking essay too. I kinda wish there was a summary of ALL patch notes to date. :py22:
