I was looking for info on tool crafting today, and I discovered that atlanticaonlinewiki has a terrific crafting breakdown. you can click any item that is craftable, and it estimates prices of the complete (most efficient) craft tree).

Crafting, just like anything else in this game, is a crapshoot. If you craft anything that isn't a +0 for gears, you profit... +0's are a loss.

Crafting mats like tools for profit? Meh... Only if you has time to farm the base mats is it worth it. Even then, TBS is just much better/faster money. Sure, craft as a 'side' thing, ie have a craft active when you go into a TBS skirmish to grind the workload... but don't try to craft purely for money. You'll usually get burnt.

The game still has fun bits here and there like TBS but we are reminded far too often of the fail nerfs that wrecked a once great game.
