Hey guys! Just thought I'd make a list of terms that you might not be acquainted with b/c they're specific to Atlantica.
if you like, +rep is nice as is... rate thread.
Adds -
Spoiler!
an add occurs when additional monsters join the enemy party you're fighting. Adds can occur anytime, but occur most often in shadow dungeons. You can fight a total of 2 adds per battle, for 3 total enemy parties.
AFK Crafting/Autocrafting -
Spoiler!
the term for autocrafting, which allows you to accumulate workload (for crafting) at a slow rate by doing nothing. You'll need to learn the auto-crafting action, though, which you receive froma quest ~40 and can be crafted with [Action]. Leveling Auto-crafting is possible to level 100... Autocraft does 100 workload/5 secs @ level 1 and 2080 (thanks theo) workload/5secs at level 100 (each level adds 20 workload/5 secs).
Arena -
Spoiler!
The three-time-a-day betting arena where 8 computer-controlled characters with randomized squads compete in a small tournament. You can bet on the fighters to make lots of money. Think of it as a video-gaming version of horse racing.
Damage Spiking -
Spoiler!
In battle, nuking/focus firing one character to try and take him out.
Enchant -
Spoiler!
Method for raising the grade of an item. Requires a sacrificial item and [current grade of item +1] enchant stones. Ex: to enchant a spirit armor +1 to a spirit armor +2, you must have 2x spirit armor +1s, and 2 enchant stones. Then My Info -> Enchant -> drop your items in enchants the item. Succeeds 100% of the time.
Enhance -
Spoiler!
Method for raising the grade of an item. Requires no sacrificial item and [current grade of item] enchant stones. Ex: to enhance a spirit armor +1 to a spirit armor +2, you must have 1x spirit armor +1, and 1 enhance stone. Then go to Rome (Bazaar), and find NPC Vulcanus, who will enhance your item for you. Succeeds ~30-40% of the time. When the item breaks, you lose it forever.
Fishing-
Spoiler!
An action, like Auto-crafting, that lets you fish at Hainan island (in SE Asia, by Hanoi). You'll need to level the action, and have a rod and bait in order to fish. Then My Info -> Expression -> Action -> Fishing brings up the window. Stand next to the water and presto! You can exchange fish at NPC albert in Hainan for fishing points, which can then be exchanged to Pointry for various rare items. Fishing is another great way to spend your afk time.
FL/Free League -
Spoiler!
90-minute PvP league that occurs every 3 hours. You fight opposing players in your division (~correlated to character level and skill level). Victory nets you fame, battle points, and coin shards (which can be sold for money to NPC vendors). The [number] next to your name is the division (roughly correlated to skill/experience level) your character is in in Free League; 1 is the highest, 18 the lowest.
Gifting -
Spoiler!
If you're below level 30, you've probably noticed the gift-box with items/money from upper levels. You click to open the gift. But why? Higher levels get experience from their gifts, up to a cap (the gifting player receives credit up to a gift worth 5% of current level *1000), in exchange for 100 % will. (eg. a level 62 can gift up to 31000 gold for a total of 6200 experience).
Goncourt-
Spoiler!
An NPC that lets you exchange your excess skill books for book boxes (1:1, 1000 gold), and your crafting secret books and exp books (20:1, costs 3000 gold) for the next tier up. Goncourt's book boxes come randomly and in three flavors, Modern ([low] skill books), Medieval ([int] skill books), and Ancient ([adv] skill books). You are limited to 300 exchanges w/ goncourt per day, last time I checked. Each book box has a chance to give any skill book in the game at the respective level, making them the only way to get skill books for your [C] and above mercs.
Howard -
Spoiler!
NPC that lets you appraise artifacts, and sell them to him for (decent, 100k-increments, usually) money. Artifacts are obtained by treasure hunting (ornate treasure map, old treasure map) and obtaining (then opening) a culture box. Culture boxes can also be obtained from Old Treasure Boxes, which are dropped from higher level bonus monsters. [thanks to Theosis]
Hui Chao -
Spoiler!
NPC that lets you reset quest lines. You must have a license for the quest (market or license crafting), and pay a small fee. The entire line is reset, and you can reobtain experience/loot from that quest line.
KJ -
Spoiler!
King's Judgment -

LDP -
Spoiler!
long-distance party, basically partying with some other player in order to share the bonus party experience from your partner's battles, and to accumulate the experience books you get from partying.
Livingstone-
Spoiler!
Stalker npc located by Bucharest (Romania). Very useful, as for 1000 gold, he tells you the location of any travelling npc. The most useful ones to find are Goncourt, Hui Chao, and Howard, imho.
Mentor -
Spoiler!
A higher level player can mentor a lower level player. Usually it involves giving the lower player items/tips/maybe money. When the lower player hits 30, the mentor will receive 200,000 gold (i think); usually the mentor will give it to their mentoree. The mentoree also receives items on key level ups (30, 50, etc.)
Merc -
Spoiler!
Atlantica term for a mercernary/non-main character.
Pointry -
Spoiler!
NPC that lets you exchange "Points" for various rare items. You can obtain points in several ways: Guild activities accumulate guild points, PvP victories accumulate battle points, Mentoring -> mentor points, Fishing -> Fishing points, etc. etc. Pointry is in the Rome Bazaar, and exchanges your points for his items.
Sharing Info -
Spoiler!
Giving someone monster info or leveling their craft. Monster info is good because basic info increases damage 10% towards that mob and decreases damage taken by 10%. Item info gives you extra items when you loot from that monster. To share info, whisper someone (/t gamename), then click share -> info. you'll need to be friends/mentor/guildies first, though.
Stamina -
Spoiler!
You get 100 of these babies per day, and up to 20 rollover from the previous day. After level 50, you'll get 50/10 rollover per day. Fighting a battle decreases stamina by one, but doubles your experience and triples your drop rates (making it essentially useless to fight w/out stamina). You can increase stamina in several ways:
1. Sharing info with friends - Monster and crafting info both count. Capped at 5/day.
2. Giving gifts to beginners - My info - > beginners -> give a gift. You must be level 30+. Capped at 5/day
3. Winning Free League - winning a pvp battle nets you 3 stamina. (also, pvp battles don't use up stamina) (uncapped)
4. AFK-ing for 10+minutes - you'll get 1 stamina for every 10 minutes you don't fight in a battle (uncapped)
5. Quests - completing a quest nets you a stamina point, usually.
Teach [skill]-
Spoiler!
After someone has crafted enough of a certain craft and obtained enough experience to level it, another player can level the skill. The leveling player pays 50% will and gets experience in the skill; the levellee receives a level up in the craft. In order to teach a skill, you have to be above a certain threshold level:
Craft level 11 (Artisan) - teaches 1-11
Craft level 21 (Craftsman) - teaches 1-21
Craft level 51 (Expert) - teaches 1-51
Craft level 81 (Master) - teaches 1-81
then I think 100's the next one.
Will -
Spoiler!
accumulates over time, and is used for a variety of things, including tp-ing, sharing info, mailing items (for lowbies), gifting items, eating food, and a number of other things. Will is capped at 125%, *I believe*. From levels 1-50 your will requirements for info-sharing and tp-ing, etc. constantly decrease (costs 100 will @ level 1, and 50 will @ level 51), while from level 51-100, your tp will req. decreases further and your max will increases over 100+
Will-ing/Seths (in battle) -
Spoiler!
refers to shaman's Brutal Will skill or Oracle's Seth's Will skill, which berserks a line of your characters (you lose control) in exchange for AP gain (essentially, haste). Brutal increases your mercs accuracy/evade rate, while seths increases attack damage and chance to land successive attacks.
Scrolling -
Spoiler!
in a pvp battle, one of two things:
1. hitting the scroll icon above a character to trigger a random scroll.
2. Using a scroll (made using scroll crafting) in battle.
Scrolls appear over a character's head with their name and two red dots. The scroll's casting can be canceled by hitting the channeling character with three normal attacks.
more to come...

Autocraft does 100 workload/6 secs @ level 1 and *I think* 1000 workload/6secs at level
I may be wrong, but from what I timed it, it was X workload/5 seconds. And at level 100 Autocraft it's 2080 workload/5 seconds.
Edit: also for the fishing part, you exchange points to Pointry, not Albert.
Edit2: For the Howard part, you may also obtain cultural boxes from Old Treasure Boxes, which are obtained by killing Bonus monsters at a higher level.

kk i've edited the autocraft/howard part, but the fishing part I think we're saying the same things. I meant to phrase it... "trade in fish for points @ albert, then trade in points for items at pointry."

Nah you put "which can then be exchanged to Albert for various rare items."

another term that could be added is gifting since its used in quests and gifting beginners also gives experience based on worth of item/gold and costing 100% will
