Signature Help

Okay, I want to make a signature, but the thing is, I'm totally new to photoshop and I have no clue how to make a signature. What I'm asking for is hints and tips or possibly even guides on how to create one. All of your help will be appreciated.

Btw, this is just one style of making a signature. There are many other ways to make one, but I thought this one was the easiest for a decent looking sig

You build ur signature on layers,Ur main layer is the render layer,just keep making new layers and brush them as many times you want.to add some spice go to adjustements,exposure.

What's a render layer?

First do this go to " new" choose ur sizes and put okay
then ull get a empty box
then go choose open, get a render,
Now u have 2 boxes
choose the render box , ctrl+a to choose the pick, then ctr+c and then ctr+p to the "new" box. and there u go , ur 1st layer

I usually go find step by step tutorials on making a sig with a certain look. Google Photoshop sig tutorials and find one with an outcome you like and try to follow the tut to make your own sig. Other than that your just going to have to play around with everything.

Zeke, in the video tutorial you showed me, how do I grab the render picture and pull it over to the little box?

If you're trying to put the render into your signature just use the move tool, click and drag the picture over to your signature box. Just like he shows you in the beginning

Ok, I'm trying to move the render to my signature, but it says that the layer is locked, how do I fixed that?

EDIT: Oh wait, nevermind. I duplicated the layer and deleted the old one. :3

Right click on the layer on the layers tab thingy, click convert to smart object->Rasterize

Another nooby question..How do I apply the transformation?

You click on another tool and it will ask you if you want to apply it or not. Thats how I do it xD
