I'm an ordinary Grade 7 Canadian Digital Art creator, I use my free time to make digital art like tags (signatures) and avatars.
I use Photoshop CS3, I got it as a present from my grandparents.
*screams YEESSSSS* I tend to procrastinate A LOT but I still get things done.
Woo hooo!

Well that's a little about me!

Why do I create art?
I create art because it's fun, and it's a hobby to kill a lot of time.
And because I enjoy i!

What is my Objective?
My objective is to create art that satisfies people, but mostly myself.
Just like any other artist, I like it when people enjoy the art they have in front of them.

RULES TO REQUESTS
- All my MMOG rules apply here
- I can turn down request I think are inappropriate, eg. NSFW, etc.
- Never take my artwork and claim as your own
- Never edit my artwork after I give it to you
- Never ever use my artwork without giving me credit

Maybe because you left out a request but did your personal signature first? Or that you didn't include a slot for him (your first post) which probably made him feel the request is being ignored by you?

Lazyness is okay lol /o/ I do it too, but normally I would consider finishing requests that are waiting for me before making something nice for myself.

I do like your latest sig though (: Nice colors.

Well, he DID say that he couldn't find any renders...

He should probably settle for a stock though, they tend to actually be easier to work with. :O

you also have to accept the fact that not everyone will like your work. im not trying to be mean or anything, but that's life. your thread did way better than mine, and i can see that you have talent. give it some time, finish up any requests, and keep adding to your gallery. eventually, people will flock to this thread because of all the pretty pictures in the first post then you'll be getting migraines from all the requests you will get. But that phase will take some time to come to, so just keep trying to improve your work for now. there may be those that just lurk the art threads (like me), so those people might be your only traffic for a while.

also, if you want to liven up your thread, try to update more regularly. or at least tell people when you won't be here. i can see that you last edited your first post 2 weeks ago, and that there was a 1 week gap between two of your posts. im pretty sure you could've finished a request or make a new shiny siggy in that time, lol. i almost thought you gave up on this thread during that week of silence.

edit: forgot to mention that i like your work so please dont give up~! lol

But Mick, I want to give you some suggestions.

Google is your good friend. I'm not familiar with the character but I found 2 pics in about 2 clicks.

Rather bad quality for the first and the second is a bit small, but as an artist you could work it out. But if you don't like those I believe there's better images out there, just hard to find.

Free renders are rather nice to work with but you need to learn how to make renders yourself if you don't want to always count on others and could still make great sigs.

I don't want to sound harsh, but I felt you didn't try hard enough to look for the picture the guy requested.

If you want to learn something, you can always google tutorials or ask others who are more experienced (I'd be willing to help too). I'm 100% self-taught with the use of making the effort to read tutorials, practice and learning from them. I think tutorials could be very useful to you as well.

Don't give up, and build up your confidence along the way. If people don't take your art seriously, show them you can make something magnificent.
